Amazon: Carriers Other Shippers

Live long and prosper!
Hey All, has anyone who has Amazon noticed their shippers mess up quite a bit now? It was OK for a while there I have had them for a few years now with my current address. It seems lately their shippers are messing things up and I don't get my supplies. I get a refund but Amazon these days isn't worth it anymore and their prices like everyone are going up. I have been a pretty loyal customer for along time with no issues until pretty recently. Just wondering if anyone else is having issues. I liked them for a long time. I know my address on my account is correct...t's hit-and-miss lately is a shame. Hugs to e
veryone.

No. I am a loyal Amazon customer. When I purchase something it always arrives days before it’s scheduled to and I rarely if ever have to send anything back. If and when I do my money is instantly returned. Amazon has exceeded my expectations by far. I have no complaints against Amazon. I order from them a lot and they never disappoint me.

I really like Amazon, and I have been ordering from them very frequently over the past several years with no complaints. The orders arrive promptly and correctly. I will continue to use Amazon, currently I've had several different orders per week with no negative incidents.

I completely agree, very happy with their service.

In this area, Amazon delivery is head and shoulders above FedEx and UPS.

I like the fact that they send a text when they are about to arrive.

USPS is still reliable and predictable

Internet shopping on the other hand has lost much of its appeal and I find myself shopping in stores when possible.

The good news is that the older I get the less I buy. šŸ˜‰šŸ¤šŸ˜‚

Yes. I had a problem with a cosmetics order. It never arrived. The seller had another one and I would have liked them to send it but that was not an option because you do not have contact with a human anymore. Everything is automated. So I got a refund after weeks and bought the item at Poshmark where I had much better luck.

Shopping at Amazon is usually a last resort for me. I just don't like them anymore.

I am not really happy with them either. Part of the problem started when UPS and FedEx starting turning packages over to the post office for the final delivery. Amazon does not actually make deliveries here. I have had to wait too long for a couple of things I have ordered and they won't let me cancel the order. The packages are frequently damaged by the time they make it to me. My most recent was missing a remote control and looked like the cd player was used. Honestly, Temu is getting things here in a timely manner better than Amazon is. Amazon used to do better than this. I am not sure what changed.

Are you aware of "porch pirates"? That is, there are people who actively follow delivery trucks so they can snatch packages from peoples doorsteps immediately. Sometimes they pretend to live at a given address in order to take the package. Is the location your parcels are left secure?

I saw a video just yesterday of someone who order a COUCH from Amazon, and they had it snatched (it was caught on video). We live in sad times.

Me? No, I have complaints about Amazon these days, but I get all my packages.

Hi everyone: We have a secure area the days were changing a lot and it was great and all until like the last month. Just odd..otherwise nothing else was indifferent. Thanks, everybody, maybe things will calm down. Update, so I found a way to update stuff should help. I haven't had any issues until recently, I really like Amazon had them for a long time... Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Ditto...

I have recently decided to stop shopping at Amazon. I don’t like all of the third party sellers there now. I feel like most products bought from them are cheap junk. I often have trouble finding brands that I am familiar with and know are of good quality.

During the last Prime Day, i bought an air purifier that I wasn’t satisfied with and decided to return. It was an expensive item.
When Amazon refunded me, instead of putting the refund back onto the credit card that I used for my purchase, they issued me a gift card…meaning that I was forced to spend my refunded money at Amazon.
No matter who I talked to at Amazon, they would not refund the money back to my card. I am not a frequent returner . I think I have returned maybe 2 small items to Amazon in my many years as a customer.
So I removed all of my methods of payment from my account and as soon as I finish using my ā€œ gift cardā€, I’m finished with Amazon and will cancel Prime when it’s time to renew.
If you google Amazon issuing gift cards for returns, you will see that they are doing this to many people lately.

I've been ordering from Amazon for years. Never had a problem. Never sent anything back. When I order, they of course try to entice you with Prime for a month, but in small letters it says, No Thanks. I click No Thanks and make my order, and that's it.

My only shipping-related problems has been with UPS due to their delivery personnel's idiosyncratic predispositions. You know, such as very lightly tapping on the door with what sounds like their pinky, in hopes that I would not not hear, and then leaving a note saying that I was not home. Or else, frantically bolting down the stairs at dead run with my merchandise in tow as if being threatened by some predator when hearing me approaching to open the door. Then totally ignoring me as I shouted for them to stop while racing after them down the stairwell and seemingly disappearing once they exited the building. Little things like that.

I have been shopping with Amazon for years and think their service is excellent. No problems with returns or refunds. If they refund me with a gift card that is okay with me because I know I will be using it soon. Not really much of a problem with 3rd party sellers. I used to be one myself so I understand their process.

I asked a person who was starting an intentional community on an island off the coast of Maine if Amazon delivered? Yep he/she says. Well, I would say they are not luddites.
