Amazon problem- what would you do?

Every specific delivery instructions I ever attempted (UPS, FEDEX, Walmart .etc) has mostly been ignored. I think the drivers even laugh if they even read them at all. Even the mail carrier is always leaving the rows of apartment mail boxes open.

I live in a house. Whenever I have a something delivered they always take a picture of the package right outside my door where they've placed it. They tuck it behind the flowers and plants so it's not visible from the street.

Online they even show the picture of the delivery. Do they not do that for you?
Yes, when they leave a package at the door, they usually take a picture and I get an email from Amazon showing me the picture. They do ring the bell, but it's not very loud and I sometimes don't hear it. So I appreciate that particular service.

I think deliveries at 2 AM are kind of ridiculous. (They don't ring the bell for those.) But I guess the delivery people are glad to get the jobs. I hope they manage to get some sleep during the day!

2 a.m.???
I thought their delivery 'window' ended at 10 p.m.

Oh, and deliveries can go beyond 10pm if they have not emptied out the truck yet. Might be why delivery to individual apartments doesn't happen... I have heard they don't get paid extra when they run late.

I didn't know that.. whenever a delivery is running late, my account page says it won't be delivered that day..

It sounds like the problem is with the delivery service. Amazon just farms delivery out to other companies, and then charges you more than what they pay the company. I don't think Amazon has much control over delivery companies. Maybe they could choose more reliable ones. I remember back a few years when security cameras were catching UPS drivers tossing TV sets over 7 foot high gates of expensive estates during the Christmas rush.
