I remember when Charmin started advertising "the tissue that babies your skin" and how horrified people were that tp was being advertised on radio and TV and had a jingle that was catchy. Horrors! People might actually sing about toilet paper. Tampax and Kotex were advertised in print without any clue about what they were for except "that time of the month" because there were some subjects that were altogether taboo.

Whatsisname, The Father of My Children, was in radio and had to tape a commercial for a local department store that was having a big sale: "ladies' lingerie...half off" OMG! It was hard to keep a straight face. He finally pointed out to the agency that maybe they should sort of rearrange the copy. They did.

I remember the ads for Modess " Modess Because...". When you were a kid it was like because what? Is there something I'm not following here?

And these are very risky and should be considered racist. Please delete them if they are offence to anyone. I’m just shocked to see them.
