An aging problem re: penmanship

I used to have such nice handwriting..
But it's becoming more difficult to hold a pen to write legibly.

Research: weighted pen
Cost is so varied.
Does anyone have?

Comment(s)/Opinion(s)..please.😉

I wonder if other people have the same problem as me when it comes to spelling. If I'm writing by hand, the words flow easily, with no problem spelling. On a keyboard, I have to keep a dictionary by my side because I struggle with the spelling of certain words. 'Spellcheck' is no use to me because I'm English and many words are spelled differently.

I’m fortunate to still have penmanship that I get complimented on. I know that I’m bragging but it’s beautiful. One of my elementary school teachers stressed the importance of good cursive penmanship to the class, “Your lawyer should be able to read your letters from prison.”

Everybody always commented on my handwriting. Now even though I write out lists every day it is not as nice. Readable though. I remember my mother had the most beautiful handwriting and in later years she could barely write out a check. I think I might try one of those weighted or padded pens. It is worth a try.

Years ago I came across a computer based, handwriting style of written presentation. It's just taken me forever to find it again.
Ooh-la-la, it's not cheap at five hundred pounds, but obviously there's no shortage of takers. It's currently sold out. But it is impressive.

Check the market, that device is called Axi-Draw, there must be competitors out there.

I fractured my left wrist in the garden several years ago, breaking the ulna and radial bones. The radius healed so well, it was so difficult to see the fracture line. But, the ulna was off 8 tenths of a percent. My orthopedist asked me if it was worth operating to correct such a small difference. Naturally, I told him no. However, being left-handed, I am unable to lay my wrist properly to write as nicely as I once did. No big deal, but it does bother me occasionally to observe the difference.

yeah I have tremors so bad from medication that I can barely
fill in my check register in a readable way.....ah well....
When in my twenties I could draw quite well, and did well with forming clay figurines. My tremor is now to the point where I can't even write the first letter of my name legibly, so my daughter has to write out my rent checks. I type everything else and print it out on my printer. Including addresses on envelopes.

I don't have nice penmanship but it is readable on every day papers and checks. Sometimes, though, I cannot read it as I seem to hurry with the notes I make. My mother had beautiful penmanship and even in her 90's it was nice.

I’ve always written with large lettering, but as I get older, the look is getting awful. My eyes and hands don’t work together anymore.

I tried writing a check a few months ago, and I wasted three checks in the process! .. and I can’t stop from writing uphill. My eyesight is atrocious.

My problem is that I'm impatient and hurry too much, which makes my writing messy. It used to be that if I slowed down, it would look fine, but not anymore. Too much carelessness over too many years.

I recently did a thing for my boyfriend, "55 Things I Love About You," where I cut out 55 construction paper hearts and wrote on them with gel pens. I'm glad I did it, of course, but *yeesh,* I had to write each one so slowly and carefully to make them legible and pretty.

I think I'll stick to non-writing projects hence forth.

That’s a really sweet thing to do. ♥️

I have arthritis in my hands, very stiff in mornings; gets better as the oil circulates.
My handwriting gets compliments, but how it looks depends on: my mood, smoothness of pen/ink delivery, time of day, and type of paper.

I only worry about the size of my writing. IF hand writing becomes very small... tiny ... is a sign of Parkinson's in some people.

Yes, either stick to non writing creative projects, or simply lessen the number of things you love.......🤔
Nevermind! That's not a good suggestion!!!😜😊😂😉🤣

I'm just being silly. I agree with @PeppermintPatty 🤩
