My lady went into Dollar Tree to get a few things
I sat in the lot
She came back with 'some buys'

Noticed this one box

They're the cheap version of SOS pads

centered on that middle term

That woman is TEE OH YOU GEE EIGHTCH .....TOUGH!

How S.O.S. Pads got their name This product still did not have a name. Somehow, the name 'Steel Wool Dipped in Soap Cleaning Pads' was not chosen, though most obvious.
Enter Mrs.Edwin Cox with a solution. She had called them S.O.S pads in her kitchen, meaning "Save Our Saucepans", and the rest is cleaning history.
Ironic really as they ruin your best pans surface, and my mom wouldna use em cos a this! (n) .

Pappy, that is the first thing I thought when I read this thread. Some idiot is going to use this as a tampon. You can almost see the headlines about a woman suing the company.
No woman in her right mind - or even not in her right mind - would use an SOS pad as a tampon. If she's smart enough to read the word tampon, she's smart enough to know that isn't one.

Those sunshades you put on the inside of your windshield also have a warning: "Do not drive with the sunshade in place."

How 'bout the sign on the entrance doors to some businesses: "These doors to remain unlocked during business hours."
I can imagine the conversation before that sign was put up: "Ya know, Vern, we've been open all day & ain't had a single customer."

Here in Canada, at least in our house, we call them SOS Pads, which they are.

Apparently the ones here in Canada are different than the ones in the USofA. Here in Canada, ours are D'Acier Tampons.
