And he needs to stay outside as that very well may be a Brown Recluse. The gentle Wolf Spiders don’t climb up windows.
FWIW, Brown Recluse are difficult to kill because they do not clean themselves like other spiders do. So using some sort of spray or powder to kill them won’t kill them. That is why glue traps are always recommended for them.
Spiders are XL in size at my farm this year too.
I know they’re out there, but I have not seen any black widows this year. I think that’s because I have quite a few Mud Dobbers. I had to chastise my brother for tearing their nests down. I told him I thought he knew better. They are not attack bees, and they are one of the very few things that can kill a black widow. When I see their beautifully constructed mud nests, I leave them alone.
It has only taken me almost a week to get this to upload.
My area is in a mild drought status. This doe was thirsty and was willing to wait for me to fill the water tub so she could drink and eat salt. Way behind her on the other side of the fence are her twins too scared to come up.
I never discourage them from drinking, but I never encourage them to come close to me either. I don’t want them to lose their fear of humans especially with hunting season coming up.
