Another Radiation Leak from a Nuclear Waste Disposal Plant Happening Now.

A news article today is announcing that another of our nuclear waste disposal plants has a leak, and it is potentially affecting 14 million people in the states of New Mexico, Texas, and also parts of Mexico.
The nuclear waste is stored at an underground facility in New Mexico, but it is also close to Texas and Chihuahua, Mexico .
Reports are that the leak is spreading, and is now affecting above ground areas.
The authorities are saying that it is not dangerous at this time, however, they are also saying that it is not safe for them to do anything to stop the leak ; so how safe does that sound ??
If the leak is not able to be contained, it is expected to keep spreading and affect even more states, and possibly require evacuation of the whole area.

This is at least the second one of these nuclear waste disposal plants that are having problems with radiation leaks. The one at Hanford , in Washington State, has also been leaking from some of the old storage tanks, for a while now; which could be devastating should the dam located just above the plant collapse from the large crack that has now developed in the dam (possibly earthquake related).

Here is the article for anyone who wishes to learn more:

... yet so many people are clamoring for nuclear plants to be built instead of funding alternative energy sources ... :(

I'll never understand how they think that is a safe way to dispose of that stuff. What about the tons dropped into our oceans, some pinhead actually believed the ocean was big enough so no big deal dumping garbage in it. Like it would never cause any trouble in the next million years, well, nice surprise for someone if the planet is still around and inhabited with life in a million years. Oh look mommy, buried treasure:aargh:

It starts with education techniques like what just happened here in Alabama. A kindergardener was told about having a petition against wind turbines, and now the whole thing is "emotional warm fluffies" (my term) and headed for our legislature. With even the young children being trained to think like this, we will soon have nuclear waste all over America, and no birds or fish being harmed by a dam or turbine..... they can die from radiation along with the rest of us. (.Just sayin')

Like a six-year-old wearing a tie-died "Peace" shirt has any conception at all of energy generation and management ... obviously another case of Mommy pushing her own agenda through the girl's innocence.

Yeah, let's let the entire valley go dark because then little Lillian can be "closer to Daddy".

She will be - just not in the way she imagined.

Read recently that some headway has been made in the realm of cold fusion . . .

I admit I'm totally out of the loop on cold fusion - I thought that was the stuff we put on our faces at night ...

Another nuclear plant leaking radiation was discovered today, this time at the Susquehanna Power plant in Pennsylvania.
(Hope that is not close to where you are , Sifu ! )
It seems we are having this sort of thing going on in several places now, since we already have one leaking in Washinton, one in New Mexico, and now this one.
I remember there was talk about one being flooded in Iowa, I think, anyway, in that area, and along the Mississippi; but I have not heard any more about that one.
Plus, another leaking oil pipe line in Ohio. That seems to be the second one in the last week or so, since this is new, and i just read about one a few days back.

It's 21 miles away from me - well within the danger radius.

That reactor is one of the six regarded by the NRC as being "the most dangerous in the country".

Just another reason to move away from here. :(
