Any of you have old black and white T.V. shows you used to love?

Most of you are too young to remember black and white T.V., but of those that do remember, did you have favorites?
Mine were: Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, the Millionaire, One Step Beyond.
Wish they were still making them!
I'd like to hear yours!

We've already run through all the Rawhide and wagon train episodes.
Of course we also have just about all the Hopalong Cassidy movies and shows on DVD.

Yup, "Perry Mason". It's on METV twice a day, and I have the whole series on cd., Of course, I know who killed the guy. But there's something about the show where it's like watching it the first time., all over again. And there are scenes , which indicate how old the show is. Like putting a nickel in a phone booth to make a call. Or having a breakfast of coffee, eggs and toast, AND getting change back from a 50 cent coin. But the stories hold up. We want to kill the same bastards, way back in the 50s, as we do now. And quite frankly, all detective/ court room shows trace their roots back to PM.

BTW. There is one PM scene that always cracks me up. Perry and Della are having dinner at a very exclusive hoity toity French restaurant. And they just could not believe that it charged $1 for a cup of coffee. It was a running gag through the episode- what was so great about a cup of coffee that it cost the unheard of price of $1? ( a cup went for 5/10 cents at the time).
Definitely pre-Starbucks.

I had thought of buying the series on CD, but my local METV is providing a steady supply of episodes.
I'm getting good at spotting who's going to be the victim and who's going to be the killer, early in the show.

One of the things I love about the show is the familiar faces- all the actors you typically see on early television played parts at one time or another on Perry Mason. Some famous screen actors as well- Bette Davis, Fay Wray, Burt Reynolds etc.

Our Miss Brooks
National Velvet
Hazel
Mr. Ed
Father Knows Best
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet
Donna Reid Show
Bewitched
Topper
Leave It to Beaver

Note: There are some that might have been in color, I just never saw color TV until sometime in the late 60s.

Definitely the Millionaire. It’s a great concept for a show so I don’t know why they haven’t revived this theme. They seem to remake junk.

Perry Mason, Loretta Young Theatre, Alfred Hitchcock, Twilight Zone, Route 66,

We didn’t get colour tv too early either.

adding Naked City.

@Aunt Bea. Great minds think alike. I coveted a Corvette and to see Route 66. Saw parts of it later.
