Any of you have old black and white T.V. shows you used to love?

The old Twilight Zone. I have 'em all on DVD, including the 2nd season 1-hr episodes.
The package included a paperback book about Mr. Sterling & (unfortunately), all the cigarette ads for his brand - Chesterfield - they paid him for.
He died at 50 during heart surgery for several heart attacks.

THESE programs were good in their time, they were all we had.
We thought them good, for our taste were decoded by the networks.
(Does that show you how powerful TV was in that time?)

Now network TV is junk, but it is only because that we have alternatives to sharpen our skills of what is and what is not good TV.-

What we see determines what we thing-this is a very powerful form of manipulation-we need to remember that!

I still use Maynard's catch phrase, now and then.

Here's one I'm wondering if anyone will remember. The Peoples Choice with Jackie Cooper in the late 50's. I loved this show. Not because of the grown up child star, Cooper, but because of his dog, Cleo.

I asked my wife what B/W TV show she remember and she replied "All of them"..
LOL

To be honest, I really liked TV as a kid. I might even have faked sick so I could watch Clark Gable movies. 😉

I always loved watching TV shows especially the cartoons. When color TV appeared all seemed to be the cats whiskers until the experts pointed out that we sacrificed visual clarity for a more entertaining visual stimulation.

One show that I've always remembered from a child is Dixon of Dock Green, looking back now, it's real corny, but at the time I loved it ... also had a 'thing' for Ty Hardin and can't remember whether he played "Bronco Lane' or Sugarfoot
( I was in UK )

Most of you are too young to remember black and white T.V., but of those that do remember, did you have favorites?
Mine were: Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, the Millionaire, One Step Beyond.
Wish they were still making them!
I'd like to hear yours!
I love most of them but remember Car 54, Where are you? and The Honeymooners making me laugh a lot when I was young.
