Anybody Awake Right Now?

My mornings have changed since moving into an RV. Around 4 am the RV beeps that the battery is low, so I go out and start the generator. About the same time our 4 dogs have to pee or whatever so I let them out and herd them into the fenced doggy yard beside the RV.

Every couple of days, I have to run a hosepipe across the road to my neighbors house to fill the fresh water tank of the RV, plus go to the gas station to fill the generator for electricity.

This on top of it all go to the laundry mat to wash clothes, medical appointments, TMS treatments 3 days a week, back nerve blocks, grocery stores, etc.
I am in the process of trading cars, arranging for contractors to dig a new well, working with insurance companies.

Thanks for breakfast... but those are GASP!!! *OLD* people! Where's the bacon?! :giggle:
And yes, I haven't been able to sleep much past 2 a.m. for many years now. I've just made myself get used to it. How are you doing today with the healing? @Paco Dennis
Funny, I fall asleep quickly, but am up 3-4 times a night when mother nature calls. I just can't sleep past 4, and yet I wish I could. Every once in awhile I'll take 1/2 Xanax and that helps for a while, but its not something I recommend unless you are having "problems". Ha, I do know about "problems" - mainly due to adult kids and my Wife's health issues.

Yea, I just m recovering from a hernia surgery. I can't imagine me being 80, I hope my health holds up, but you just never know, and we do have to deal with the inevitable getting old maladies. I admire you for living so long. :)

The laundromat is such a pain in the rear, if you can afford to, maybe consider getting a portable washer and/or dryer?

They get rave reviews online and many apartment and RV dwellers buy them just to avoid going to the laundromat for everything except blankets and comforters.

If you buy, make sure you get one with traditional customer service you can call if it breaks within one year. Not all of the makers have customer service. https://www.usnews.com/360-reviews/home-goods/washing-machines/best-portable-washing-machines

Have you thought about solar panels for the RV? People rave about those too.

Up yet, once more. Time to slow down hard by focusing on a calming ASMR video so hard that I crowd out my thoughts and tire myself so much I can't keep my eyes open.

9,000 is a lot. I would have given up at 500. But counting never helps me.
Have you tried any of the meditation apps? Some are free.
It's just 2.5 hours. 😁 I was desperate. No, I haven't tried the apps... any in particular you'd recommend? I *have* tried some of the music frequency things I started a thread about a few weeks ago. Some make a little dent, so I'll continue. So far my favorite is:

None that I recommend because the voice and type of medications are very individual, I think. Just search "Free meditation" in the app stores and try some out. Sometimes I tried some and the voices were so insincere and actor-y that I had to delete them. So I have two that do not annoy me and I use them mostly for anxiety and high stress situations. Or when I'm having a bad day.

They have them on YouTube also. Again, same issue, some readers are good and some sound very fake, so you have to try them out and find the ones you like. One suggestion: find the ones that are sponsored by a non-profit or even for-profit company, because they tend to be self-vetted - e.g. they have hired real psychologists to design the programs.

There's lots of "Joe's Meditation Fix-It Shop" amateur stuff out there in apps and on YouTube. They are just trying to make money - not actually trying to help people.

Of course, the for-profit ones will not be free.

Still up. Not really late yet, but I'm not going to let it get that way tonight.

I'll do some reading, maybe a little TV, and then one of the soft-spoken ASMR videos. If I'm lucky I won't even get far through that list.

Up at 2 AM. No excuse this time, it's all on me. I think the answer is to not worry and just keep the lights off.
