Anyone else on Seniors not heard of Andrew Tate until yesterday?

He seems to think that he is the most famous man on the planet but he had escaped my notice until he tried to bait Greta Thunberg on Twitter and was bested by her short response.

Curious to see just how famous he really was and still is.
 

ME...not a thing... no clue who the heck he is... I read he was born in the US.. and lived just 30 minutes from me... in a large very multinational town.. I had no idea who he was and then I read about a spat he had with the climate change child yesterday.. and the next thing I read he's been arrested for Rape.. and all sorts.. who ? never heard of him...:unsure:
 
He was interviewed by Piers Morgan earlier this year. It is a very long interview, nearly 2 hours, and it can be found on YouTube. I've watched just about half of it and have formed the impression that he is completely narcissistic and is very good with words. The worry about him, not including his criminal behaviour, is that he is a toxic influence on young men and boys.

The charges against him in Romania are about entrapment of women using the 'boyfriend' ruse then keeping them against their will to make p*rn*gr*phy. I can only assume that it is at the extreme end of p*rn and involves violence and r*pe.

One thing is certain, since being bested by a 19 year old girl he has become a lot more famous than he was a week ago.

I have never heard of him. I had to go back to the thread about him to see who he is. But then I don't know who a lot of people are anymore. I see commercials about specials coming up, being hosted by ??? and several entertainers ??? are going to appear. Never heard of any of them. Same thing with award shows. People winning people's choice awards that I never heard of. And people on talk shows...who are these people?? I'm so out of touch.

Never heard of either Andrew Tate or Greta Thunberg until mentioned here on the forums.
 
Never heard of either until just now. And guess what? I care so little I'm not going to Google search them. They will forever remain un famous to me!
 
Well Greta is probably less dangerous than this guy whoever he is.. but she's as much a PITA as he is... is she 19 already ?.. I still think of her as being 14.. she's very immature for her age..
 
Greta Thunberg is an amazing human being. She is sincere and passionate about taking climate change seriously and began protesting inaction in Sweden when she was just 15. She was roundly criticised for being young, for being autistic and for being irritating, but that is just the point. You don't grow a pearl without irritating an oyster.

If you haven't heard of Malala either, she is the school girl the Taliban tried to kill for advocating education for girls. She too is strong and courageous.

Ditto. Greta is being manipulated by the 1% and I never heard of Tate at all. What a pair. So if he thought he was famous, maybe he had better think again?

Girl me too! :ROFLMAO: I stopped watching TV when they started putting in content that I don't believe in in every...single....show or movie. I don't watch anything now made after 2010.
