Anyone else suffer from GERD?

@seadoug my mother had gerd pretty bad. she couldn't eat anything acidic, spicy or sugary. sometimes when it would settle down she'd snack on sweets but not very often did that happen.

idk about it being hereditary. i had it briefly when i was younger. mine is an ulcer caused by an OD of ibuprofen thanks to an ER doc years ago.

The only reason he survived heart attack was he had medical training, knew what was happening, and got to an ER. He needed open-heart surgery and valve replacement.

Although both of his older brothers and their father died of heart attacks decades earlier, it was assumed they had the same cause.

This just occurred to me: he also had sleep apnea, which also disappeared after his surgery.
