Mother's brother Paul. He was what they called a Carney, he worked traveling carnivals all across the US.
He was odd looking, had slightly greenish stubby teeth at some point. At first I was scared of him but I
watched him and that adoring look he had when he was near my Grandma, and I warmed up to him.
He was funny and had all these stories about things that happen, sneaky things Carney people do.
He came to visit with his girlfriend one weekend and Mom told me I had to let them sleep in my room.
First bedroom I didn't have to share, I was not happy but it had to be done.
I had school the next morning and forgot to get my books out of the room so I knocked and asked if
they could hand me my books. I heard "Come on in and get them"
I stepped past the door and they were in bed, she smiling at me and him on his stomach and there,
there at the foot of my bed his feet were sticking out
with Cowboy Boots still on!!!!
That room never received such a cleaning before as it did after they left.
