When I was little my boot was eaten right off of my foot by an old-fashioned department store escalator with wooden teeth similar to the ones in Macy's.I don't mean to laugh at your fear AB, but that gif is hilarious.
Do you fear it shutting down on your feet? If you place your hands firmly on the handrails, you can lift yourself up to avoid injury...maybe that will help your fear.
Arrrgh! No wonder. I'd be the same way if it happened to me.When I was little my boot was eaten right off of my foot by an old-fashioned department store elevator with wooden teeth similar to the ones in Macy's.
This one, really strange...Phronemophobia - The fear of thinking.

It is not!I know this is so silly!
My first (ugh!) husband used to beat me up if I didn't cook his eggs perfectly.
To this day, I panic when I cook eggs because I'm so afraid they will be overcooked or undercooked.
(((hugs)))...I know that feeling well...I haven't got a phobia about it, I just don't eat it, and the smell makes me heave, but as a kid I always got a hiding if I didn't eat beef stew which I hated .. ..so I understand the horror and fear you feel with regard to the eggs...I know this is so silly!

I wouldn't walk through bushes, either & I have no fear of snakes or any animal. It's just not wise, especially in hot weather. All reptiles are cold blooded & have to regulate their body temperature by moving in & out of shade. When it's hot, they need the shade of bushes. It is not!
I have never been bitten by a snake but I still don't like walking through tall bushes. I'd probably never go out again if I was.
