Anyone here Ice Skate?

I was very good at ice skating one time, but wouldn’t even try it today. Break a hip now wouldn’t be a good thing.
 

I quit 30 years ago. It would be the death of me now. I could skate backwards and do a few double turns. No backflips or guys tossing me around or holding me with one hand, while they spin at nauseous speeds. No death spins, with my head millimeters from the ice, while some guy holds my ankles and stares at my skimpy covered crotch. I could still enjoy wearing the skimpy outfits, but not sure onlookers would enjoy what they saw. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Ice is less forgiving than concrete, so antics on the ice are a big no.

I have never been able to ice skate, or roller skate, well. It’s really annoying, especially because I have no problem on a skateboard, no problem dancing or doing other physical things. My balance is decent, I have good leg strength, I’m a graceful dancer, but NONE of that matters when there are wheels or blades underfoot! 😡
 
Well, I got a pair of skates for my birthday.
I will have to give them a go in the next month or two, so I can get ready for the grandkids when they come here for the March break.

I was surprised that CCM still made TACKS. Those were the top of the line 40-50 years ago.

I suggest you may want to purchase knee pads & elbow pads, plus a helmet.
