Anyone Interested in a Coffee Klatch?

I thought it might be fun to have a, say, bi-weekly coffee klatch over ZOOM. -- Hang out, drink something, chat, crochet, make voodoo dolls, solder something...

I took a small (one hour) seminar on how to start a ZOOM Mtg. recently, so can probably, albeit rudimentarily, put it together.
 

Do you guys have a day / time that works best? I'm good most days cept Mondays and Thursdays. Mornings? Evenings?
Or, we could address it the week before the day and see what everyones' weeks arelooking like. Say we were to have one coming this week (Pretend this is last week and I'm talking to you from that time lol) - I can ask if the usual "Tuesday @ 11:00A EST works for everyone or do we need to adjust this week?"
That sort of thing?

When I have Zoom meetings with CPS (for foster parent business) I literally tape my phone to a wall to keep it stable and hands-free. 🤪

I'll keep you posted, and would you believe I used to do the very same thing cept I putty-stuck my phone to the wall! LOL

Well, we are discussing the option of changing days/times as convenient for most peeps that week so you might make a few. :giggle:(y)
Oh, you don't need to know about ZOOM - I'll send you the link and password. You'll only need to go to ZOOM online or download it and type in the key and password I send you.

And then a comprehensive how-to course on using Zoom...I'm not exactly computer literate! But, yeah, it would be fun to put faces to board names and to listen to others speak. I read @hollydolly's posts with a Brit accent in my head:)

So, first time option, this Tuesday, 02.01.21 at 11:00am US EST? -- Or we can move to next week if this (day after tomorrow) is a bit too soon.

If you guys want to maybe just pop up some days/times that work best for you I'll see if I can venn diagram something workable. :giggle:

but of course there's no such thing as a Brit accent.. there's more dialects and accents, in the UK than probably most countries.. You can go just 10 miles in either direction in the Uk and the dialect or accent is different.... and that's just in England. ..and the South and North of England are so different that even they often can't understand each other..

Then of course there's Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales, completely different accents to each other.. :love:
 
I remember a few years back when it was the old forum, I put my voice on here.. just spoke a few words, but I can't remember how I did it..lol...I think I may have used my iphone in some way...

As for zoom on a forum.. I know there's no pressure from anyone to do it, but for me, the beauty of forums like this is that I am anonymous, and I can sit with no make-up, and with my hair up, looking like a scarecrow and not be concerned that anyone can see me..

By the way, you guys do not need a ZOOM account to attend a meeting, only to host, and I have one so, we're covered. ;)
