That's perfectly fine! I just fell asleep.Sorry, Ruthanne, I only spoke from my heart.
I don't know what happened or when but I am sorry you're going through a rough time of it. HugSad moments for me right now Ruthie. Can't help but reliving the actual moments. I remember every detail, every single one. The worst day of my life. Hands down. The shock. I'm still shocked.
I understand those anniversaries well. It's like they've grown into us. The older we get the more losses are heaped upon us. Close members of the family, to me, are the saddest and make me think of times passed with those people. It's strange how I just talked to them on the phone yesterday but they're gone and the phone calls were many years ago.Since 2020, I always get a little depressed in May and June. My younger brother passed away on June 10, 2020. After the day passes, I start feeling better, until the following May and June. I felt the same way when my mother passed away and my father. I guess it takes a while to get used to or accept the fact that a certain family member is gone forever. But you cheer up a little when you realize that when you pass on, you will be re-united with all of your family members again. Then you will be with them and waiting to re-unite with the ones that are still alive.
Well it's that time of year people get out more and enjoy themselves outside or on a vacation. I like taking more walks with nice weather.Yea beginning to miss a lot more people these days - it's like they've all taken off on a long holiday but now it doesn't seem they're coming back - they're likin it so much!! Gaer must be havin a good time as an angel now??
Perhaps blast your music at the same time. I used to do that and enjoyed what I was playingI'm super worn out. I'm thinking of putting in an order for delivery tomorrow at Walmart. Probably not a good idea since my neighbor will probably be blasting music, which will be stressful, but it would be nice to get the stuff.
@Ruthanne, that is a really serious problem. The friends, that was not water that was lymphatic fluid. If this is not caught early it will only get worse, you need to see the doctor!! At the least you should be wearing medically prescribed support/compression socks or hose. Once those lymph glands are damaged they will not work again. You will be fighting the condition for ever.Good morning. Me and Suzy dog are staring at each other as usual. She has been worried about me. I saw it in her eyes when she looked at my foot the other day. It was and has been so painful and swollen for many days and got so bad I thought my feet would split open. I have known some who's swollen feet and legs got so severe that they started emitting water! I was getting scared it might happen to me. I since have elevated my feet and legs for about 20 hours. It helped even tho they still are a little swollen. I have cut out salt for the most part. I can't help that some food contains salt but steer away from those that do and consume them much less!
I had made the mistake awhile back of eating salty high carb food. I really forgot I'm not supposed to for several health conditions I have. Geez... I'm going to try not to let that happen anymore.
Anyways feeling a lot better tonight. I know Suzydog is glad too. I showed her my foot again.![]()
That looks functional. I wish they sold them individually. I don't have a use for 2 of them, but one could be nice.Online they only sell them in pairs for $140. That's probably to help pay for shipping. Member's Mark 2-Pack Extra Large Anti-Gravity Chair - Sam's Club
He has a stadium speaker. Nothing I have could compete. I can barely hear anything with headphones on when he's blasting his music.Perhaps blast your music at the same time. I used to do that and enjoyed what I was playing![]()
Thanks for your advice but everyone is different and we will see what's happening. I think I did say the swelling is down now. I have an MD appointment coming up. Thank you! Are they books or maybe kindle books? I do enjoy a good mystery! Oh I see that you can get them at your Library online. Can you read them online too?Anyone else like cozy mysteries? I just borrowed Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Madame Blanc Mysteries from my online local library.

I'm sorry he does that. I hope something can give you peace when he's doing that. I used to take a walk or drive when my neighbor did that but not late at night. Thanks for your ideas and what will help@Ruthanne Speaking of elevating feet, I just bought the silliest thing to help me recover from my pending abdominal surgery. What I'd really like is a reclining chair, but my place is so tiny I cannot fit another piece of furniture in here.
But I know I'm going to be laying around on pain killers for at least 2- 3 days, immobile, watching TV and dozing. When I had my gall bladder out 4 years ago I just had my bed and some pillows, but I always have to lay on one side to watch TV in bed and the whole pillow set up wasn't that comfortable. I had a bed wedge too and that wasn't comfortable either.
Then I was thinking, "What I need is a recliner that folds. Do they make such a thing?" Started searching and yup, they do. They are called "zero gravity loungers" for outdoors. Fancy name for a giant folding chair that tilts back and sometimes has padding. Least expensive ones I found so far were $75 & up.
Then I went to Sam's Club to get eggs and bread, was browsing, and lo and behold they have the exact thing I wanted for $55.

But I tried mine out tonight and heck yeah, that is going to be a great recovery chair. You can also lay it back so far that your feet are level with your head. That's why I'm telling you about it. Might be a very affordable and comfortable option for elevating your feet wile you're relaxing or watching TV.
You also might want to ask the doctor to check your electrolytes. I drink Gatorade or electrolyte water all summer long because I've found it's really the quickest way for me to get re-hydrated.
(Off topic - why are eggs $2.50 a dozen at Sam's but $5.00 a dozen at Vons? A question to ponder for the ages.)
These are tv shows. They're on Acorn TV as well, but that's paid. They're free from my local library on a service called Hoopla. You might be able to watch Miss Fisher on youtube. Are they books or maybe kindle books? I do enjoy a good mystery! Oh I see that you can get them at your Library online. Can you read them online too?
That's good to know- I have to keep Hoopla in mind. I need to get back to my library and register there again. Haven't been there in quite awhile . I certainly could use saving some $ because some of my bills are often increasingThese are tv shows. They're on Acorn TV as well, but that's paid.
