The Scottish Saltire is one of the oldest flags in Europe and the world. It features a white diagonal cross (saltire) on a blue background and is also known as St. Andrew's Cross. The Saltire dates back to the 9th century.
There used to be a woman on here, she left some time ago,
she asked me, "Why have you got a Greek flag as an avatar"?
I had to explain that it was the flag of Scotland.

There is a place in Cyprus, called San Andreas Point, where
St Andrew stabbed his walking stick into the ground to get
water during an exceptionally hot day.

This is also the flag of Tenerife in the Canaries, St Andrew
obviously like to travel.

I had the idea today to buy or make a plaid kilt
and a top with an indigenous pattern to honor
my grandparents. My husband put this together,
on his AI photo program, to give me an idea.
I think it would be a fun outfit. I would close up
the bottom of the top to where no tummy shows.
I think the color schemes are perfect for both my
Scottish and American Indian heritage.
