What is that made of?????
You reminded me of a saying that a former co-worker would use. Anywhere you would say "up your kilt", she would say "bite me"!!!!I have never in 50 years living in England hear any English person say ''up your kilt''... bit in Scotland we said all the time.. I stil say it today a do my fmily members .. in a kind of ..mocking, dismissal...
For example..one maigt say..''hey holly, your hair looks a mess today''... my retort ''up your kilt''...
Hey holly.. Your joke isn't funny... reply....up your kilt...
In fact as youngsters when we learned that the real name for a Scottish kilt is ''filibeg''... we'd pretentiously go around saying..''Up your Filibeg' at anyone who slighted us..![]()
well it's traditional Scotch egg... but instead of the egg being covered with sausage meat and breadcrumbs it's coated first in Haggis meat which is basically minced lamb and spices...What is that made of?????![]()
to my utter embarassment the lead singer of the BCR Les Mckeown was one of my first boyfriends back in 1972... it was a short romance, thank god, and I always have shuddered at the thought ever since..Original Scottish Boy Band?

Oh aye The Bin Yin. Comic GeniusI have always loved Billy Connolly, the Comedian. I was going to post a link but he can be a bit ....
strong for some people. I especially love his skit on a Colonoscopy. He is raw and raunchy but
he's so truthful. Reminds me of my oldest son in many ways.
Billy is actually a friend of mine...no lie... I first met him when I was 18 years old and working on the Isle of Arran, and him and his band came to play a concert there which was little more thn a big Barn. The singer Gerry Rafferty..who had a later hit with Baker street was in the band at the time as wellI have always loved Billy Connolly, the Comedian. Sweet memories for you, how can you not love that guy, even when you don't meet him. Sad to hear he has Parkinson's, Now I will be watching his skits again so he knows we still love his skits. I know many who love watching him. Wouldn't hurt to let know see he still has a huge fan base. TY for sharing your memories...wonderful!Billy is actually a friend of mine...no lie... After the concert, a few of us were invited by the band to come to the hotel lounge for a drink.. and we did... and Billy sang to me while playing guitar..
It was very innocent, nothing untoward went on.
In later years I wrked as a researcher in TV & Film production, and met Billy often..on various chat shows ..
He lives now in the USA with his second wife Pamela.. and he has parkinson's so he rarely ever comes back to the uk these days
Billy lives in Key West, Florida, he is still making TV, mainlyI have always loved Billy Connolly, the Comedian. I was going to post a link but he can be a bit ....
