Are beards back in style?

I was brought up with crew cuts and clean shaving. I did have a beard for a time, when I was out of work. But got a job, and got a shave. I noticed a lot of the male models, hawking products on TV, now have a lot of facial hair. What is your preference? Do you have a beard? Do you like/hate facial hair on men?

Yes beards are back in style.
Prefer clean shaven but don’t mind well groomed beard or moustache

I didn't know beards ever went out of style. I don't mind a beard if it's kept trimmed and neat looking. My husband has worn a mustache ever since I met him over 30 years ago.

I love a well maintained beard. I agree with C'est Moi that they never went out of style.

My late husband started growing his beard the day he got out of the Army and kept it for the rest of his life. My father had a beard for the last 25 years of his life. Most of my brothers-in-law had beards at one time or another. The Spousal Equivalent has a beautiful white beard. Yep, I like beards.

My husband would always grow out his beard and mustashe in the winter. He would keep them neat and trimmed. In him they looked nice. I actually liked him with it. When he went into the nursing home it grew out, and he was uncomfortable with it, so I brought in his trimmer and shaver and the Occupational Therapist spent time with him helping him shave it all off.

I am like Pinky in that I like a beard or mustache if it's groomed well and also kept clean. There was a study I read where they found all kind of foul germs in men's beards so keep em clean..:)

Don’t know or much care what the style is

Had a beard since I can’t remember (50 or more years)

But, living at the edge of society had an influence

I was on ship and we were headed for Greece from Norfolk VA. It seemed like a good time to try growing a beard. A number of my shipmates thought so too. It was intolerably itchy. After 3 days I shaved it off and never grew one again. Some years later I grew a mustache. We went snorkeling and my face mask leaked big time. That was the end of facial hair for me.

My hair is past grey, it is now white. I started going grey in my 20s.

I never had or wanted a beard/moustache, but a full neatly
trimmed one is fine on others, unfortunately over here lots
of would be "macho men", just don't shave, they also groom
their efforts to look like they just got out of bed, that look
is not nice at all, scruffy.

Mike.

I've always found (most) men with a beard and/or mustache VERY sexy (fanning myself), but only if neatly trimmed, NOT the Amish-man type of facial hair. The only problem with a man growing facial hair is that if he changes his mind and wants to go clean shaven he will have a heavy five-o-clock shadow forever, mainly if he has dark hair. It's not attractive.

A lush, well kept beard is a sight to behold but I find there are few men that can carry off this look. I don't like the Fu man chu look a lot of the young guys sport. That and the long, scruffy beards I see on some guys make them look slovenly. Luckily my guy can grow a really good looking beard.

The guys I work with always grow out their beards for "No shave November" with varying degrees of success.😊

I hate big bushy Amish style beards..I hate unkempt beards where the bloke always has half the remains of his dinner in it.. *Barrrf*...🤢

My o/h shaves his short beard off every few months...when he gets fed up with it, then grows it back again when he gets fed up shaving.. However he reckons keeping the beard trimmed is more work than being clean shaven

In general, I dig long hair and/or sideburns that make a statement. Beards and mustaches not so much. Especially, big bushy beards that the young hipsters grow these days.
Also, I always wonder if the young men who shave their heads now will wish they would have kept their hair when they grow old and bald naturally.

However, I would not presume to tell any man how to wear his hair. That is his choice.
I agree with long hair too.
