Are Small Town Meetings the best way to answer stuff?

Do you think downsizing to smaller indoor evening meetings in our communities can help improve our Country direction's?

Yes. I have also thought about using Zoom to create local smaller regular community meetings. Talk about our issues together, and learn about how others are coping with these difficult times.

My congressman often has community meetings over the phone and sometimes on Zoom. I will receive phone calls & emails urging participation. So far I have not taken advantage of attending, but I appreciate he offers this.

It's popular for Americans to Hate Congress but love their own Representative.

Seems to me that politicians have small 'town hall' meetings for self serving reasons. First of all it gives an illusion of being close and interested in the attendees. Second, the same question can be asked and answered in separate meetings with conflicting responses somewhat risk free for the politician. Finally, I can't think of any real improvement or dramatic change that ever came from such a meeting. Call me cynical, I am.

There sure are a lot of poor conditioned Overpasses / entrance / exits Interstate to rural highways areas.
Also leading up to and leaving them on those rural roads leading to or from those small towns.

Somehow I don't think there's a whole lot of wisdom coming from the jerk next door and me. Life has become increasingly complex with unknown consequences. We need people who study a situation in minute detail. A snap decision may sound good, at the time. I doubt the jerk knows much about the laws of amortization, and neither do I.
Of course, everybody says small town meetings are the way to go, but few get off their butts and go to the meetings.

Maybe I should express it differently. In a town meeting the representative hears what the people have to say Maybe the same concern expressed repeatedly does resonate to some extent, but to assume that expressed opinions or recommendations will yield the desired result is simply naive.
