Are We Losing Our Emotions

I have always had too much empathy.

We are encouraged to cultivate critical thinking so that we might have a somewhat unbiased view of reality. Now after many years of reflecting on life with using critical thinking I am now a pessimist, not an optimist. Too much evidence has led me to see how cut throat survival of the fittest is. We default to those who have power over us.

The evidence also shows the unequal and unfairness of human commerce. At least the model built on Capitalism.

Thanks @Jules . Not sure if it was the restraining order in 2006 that finally did trick or what but even tho we still worked on same campus for another 5 years he never harassed me again. And in 2012 DD and i moved to NM.

Still think of myself as a pragmatic idealistic optimist. i can see the actual problems and what would be better, healthier for both me as individual and for our nation. You may have noticed that i have been avoiding any thread that could devolve in political discussion. This may seem uncharacteristic of me, as i can be radical in many ways but i have to mention that capitalism is not inherently a bad economic system, if it is mixed with some 'socialistic' aspects to ensure the health and well-being of ALL citizens and it doesn't become THE driving force in the governing of a nation.

But i feel i'm on thin ice in terms of the rules even mentioning that.
