I wouldn't say I'm a "neat-nic" ... not even a Felix Unger.
More like Mr. Clean - I'm bald, muscular and use a lot of liquid cleansers.
I was pretty much a "Leave it there, the cat will get it"-kind of guy until I got married. Then I became Mr. Clean to balance out my wife's ... um ... less than enthusiastic cleaning procedures. That she was also a hoarder made my cleaning chores much more difficult, but I continued on with the dusting, vacuuming, steam cleaning, polishing, laundry, yard maintenance ...
When I was divorced I gave her everything, so the next 10 years or so were easy on me cleaning-wise, because I lived in small spaces without owning very much - my vaunted "Minimalist Phase".
Now I share an apartment with a lady who has several physical limitations, so once again I'm cleaning for two + two (us and the critters). I'm not as manic as I was when I was married since I don't see this as "my" space, but generally I like things to be fairly clean and ordered. Heck, I used to own a cleaning biz, so at least I know the best ways to clean.
