Are you all thumbs???

When it comes to doing -THIS- or comes to doing -THAT- when are you all thumbs??? For me I'm all thumbs when it comes to changing this little two prong hood light over the stove. There are 4 altogether. Getting them out is easy...but I'm all thumbs when putting them in. First it's the angle, then I need a mirror to see the socket, then a flashlight, forget putting the bulb in with your fingers, that requires a little suction cup do-dad. Finally after about 8 mins. or so the job is done and the little Lady is happy... Now my back is aching and so is my neck... -

That's me! Fingers that can make a fluffy pie crust, sponge cake, and play the piano, become completely useless at anything mechanical.

Me, I'm fortunate to have been granted the ability to do most one-handed tasks equally well with right or left hand. Think that was enhanced early by my taking things apart, putting them together, whichever side was closer, screws and wrenches turned, manipulated using either hand.

Today, carpal tunnel and arthritic twisting of both thumb joints has made everything all-thumbs! Am sure it would be worse, had I not been adept with my hands all my life; I cope with it now. Clumsy but happy! imp

I have trouble opening bottles where you're supposed to squeeze, turn and pull simultaneously. Now ususally I'm graceful and dexterous, but I can never seem to get this right and have to ask a family member to do it.

That damn oven light gets me all the time, why do they always put it in the back?
