A very thoughtful friend of mine living in another state was on a kick for awhile of buying things on Amazon or Temo or whichever other online sites (I don’t shop online) and having sent to me… things she thought I could use. Well, as well-intentioned as she was being, I had to ask her to stop. We’ve known each other for over 50 years so that wasn’t as awkward as it may seem.
But, the things she bought and sent me were new-fangled gadgets that required reading instructions… I don’t read instructions. If I can’t figure something out, I don’t want it. And, as to teaching an old dog new tricks, again, if I can’t figure it out, forget it! And, if I haven’t needed that item in 72 years, I don’t need it now. Anyone else like that?
