well it would depend who had been the nicest to me -- and I had a wonderful mum ..LOL
 
Oh good god...what a choice.. My mum's been long gone, but if she were alive now.. and even tho' she was never the greatest mother, I have tbh I think I would have to let my husband find the strength to get himself to safety..and save my mother!!
 
I had to ROFLOL when I read that, even though I've seen it before.
I'd toss them something to hang on to - like a 500-lb. barbell.

In the bible. So if you are religious you would have to save your spouse.

According to Genesis 2:24, the bond between husband and wife is to be stronger than the bond between parent and child: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." .

This is a cop out on my part.
 
My husband. My mother could swim like a fish so I would have a difficult time believing she was drowning.
