Are you getting to be the "oldest person" in your family?

Are we talking immediate blood family?

If so, I am the oldest. If cousins are included, I have a couple of cousins in their 90s. If blood uncles and aunts are included, one aunt has set the bar too high. She is 103, never been sick a day in her life, and recently went on an Alaskan ocean cruise. I can't touch that on several levels.
 
Not including cousins who live at the other end of the country and are older than me, there's only my sister and I.
She's two years older, so checking with the calculator, I'm two years younger than her, so I'm youngest. :sneaky:

My older brother passed away, that left me and my younger brother. Then it dawned on me that I'm the oldest person in my family. When I was a kid, I met my great grandmother, she was close to 100. Now, it's me that's the oldest.

Yes. Feels weird doesn’t it? I’m the eldest sibling in my family. My parents are gone as well as 2 younger siblings. I’ve been on my own for a long time anyway, so I’m used to it. It won’t surprise me if I’m the last living member of my family one day because there’s so many bad habits, if you know what I mean. I had a centenarian grandparent as well, and I’m hoping to follow her example.

We have much in common. Hubby and I had just two children but from them we were blessed with six grandchildren and more recently, two great grandchildren. All but my son live in easy driving distance and I see them all as often as is possible considering all of the demands placed on families today.
 
I have an older sister who I haven’t seen in years. Other than her, Ron and I are the oldest in our respective families. We’re typically the oldest folks in the room when we attend social events with family or friends.
