Are you more wary of vaccines going forward?

So, yes when the vaccine was introduced I got two shots and two boosters. I've since gotten it twice since, but the symptoms have been very minor. I'd heard the flu season was going to be severe this winter, so I got the flu vaccine.

IMHO there was no vaccine debacle. The only debacle was the way each side chose to accept and interpret it. It is very unfortunate the way opinions re: Covid and the vaccine divided our country. These days I've adopted a "live and let live" (or die) attitude. People choose their own destinies based on where they feel they are in life and in the health spectrum. What makes sense for me may not make sense for you.

I disagree. The debacle was : People were lied to about the "vaccine". It was not safe or effective, yet people were forced to submit to it or lose their livelihood. People were banned from participating in society because of their vaccination status. We as a people were so divided over this issue. In Australia, there were camps for the unvaccinated for a time. Pfizer wanted 75 years to release trial results BECAUSE THERE WERE NONE. It was never tested for protestion against transmission yet almost everyone was forced to take it "for the greater good. It was all virtue signaling and put a lot of money in the hands of unethical pharmaceutical companies who have made record profits on a "vaccine" that has been useless to most and dangerous to some who have suffered death/or adverse reactions to it and can get no compensation for this, nor can the families of the deceased because there was no product liability. This vaccine has been an epic fail from start to finish.
Now the truth about it is coming out. There must be accountability to protect people from ever facing a situation like this again and this brings me back to my original question about vaccines.
 

I don't think society should have closed as it did. Now we're seeing the aftermath: people going nuts. Precautions should have been taken, I believe, but not as fiercely as it was.

Personally, I went from being someone eagerly hopping buses to go places; now, I rarely go anywhere. I'm atrophied, and at my age & health I don't expect a comeback. It could have been handled better, Although I don't want to give the impression it wasn't a big deal because it was. Covid, I mean.

SOME of the vaccinated are upset with SOME of the unvaccinated, because SOME of them go to great lengths to dissuade others from getting vaccinated - thus endangering many others.
They are NOT the ones " buying into the fear, lies & B.S. we were all given."

Most who care about others would call it an effort to prevent the spread of a very serious. often fatal disease out of the workplace. It isn't just about you. You do have a choice. If you don't like their rules, find another job. It may be inconvenient for you but it's more inconvenient for your fellow workers to come down with Covid passed on by you or others like you.

Thank you for proving my point. Pfizer has ADMITTED the "vaccine" was never tested on preventing transmission because, there wasn't time! So our world leaders forced people by lying to them about this vaccine and threatening to take their freedoms away if they didn't comply which many of us didn't. And don't tell me to find another job, like that's easy and definitely do not tell me I am responsible for spreading covid to others. The vaccinated spread covid just as much as anyone else. This is a fact. In fact it's turned into more of pandemic of the vaccinated because your immune systems have been compromised by the "vaccines".

Certainly not put off at all.

I was advised by my consultant to have the vaccine and I take more notice of her than anyone else.

I have tested positive 3 times for Covid, probably because of my frequent visits to hospitals, each time my symptoms were minor. My immune system is severely compromised while having chemo but I had enough antibodies to keep symptoms to a snotty nose and sore throat for a few days.

No. At the time of the rollout it was said you would not catch covid if you got vaccinated. They also said you would not transmit it which was a flat out lie and they knew it because it had never been tested for transmission. I will argue this point no further. My question was how would you feel about vaccines going forward and many are trying to make this "vaccine" sound like it was a success which it was not.
 
If you read the entirety of Dr. Fauci's statement, the conclusion was that no, the vaccine was not going to prevent people from becoming infected.

What they did conclude is that the vaccine, and the modified variants, DO protect against your infection becoming critical - that is, you are far less likely to end up in ICU and needing mechanical respiration. This is especially relevant for the elderly (over 80+yrs; as seen globally they are the most vulnerable to death from COVID if unvaxxed) or if you have multiple risk factors, or immunologic issues (such as cancer patients or organ transplant recipients).

My spouse and I, and all 15 members of our family, have all received multiple vaccine shots. And no, none of us have come down with anything except a few slightly sore upper arms and some mild fatigue.

Also, I'm vaxxed because we have three friends who separately have been dealing with stage 4 cancers over the last few years, and as a result they cannot get vaxxed at all. Due to chemotherapy they have almost no immunity right now.

Bingo. It's really hilarious that we were told to get vaccinated to protect others, then they were forced to admit it doesn't prevent transmission.
If fear & exaggeration don't work, try guilt - "If you don't get vaccinated, you'll make others sick."
They gave up on that nonsense for the flu shot.

You are a reasonable person, much respect. Very sorry to hear about your friends, cancer is a terrible disease and we all should be considerate of people who are suffering through treatments.

Stop lying already, no vaccine is 100% effective and that promise was never made. You have been brainwashed by conspiracies and government hatred by certain social media sites and TV shows.

Reminds me of a visit from a TV repairman around the 1960's. He spent a couple of hours at our house. When he said it was done, we turned on the TV & the picture was just as bad as it was before.
"I said, "It's not fixed; the picture is still bad."
He asked me, "Are you an electrician?"
I said, "No, but I don't have to be. I only need eyes, which I have."
