Are you pleased with your current weight?

My weight is my last unresolved bit of baggage.

I make progress during the summer months and backslide during the winter eating season.

Walking has been as much,if not more, help to me as restricting calories.

The good news is that I am making progress.

I would like to achieve an acceptable balance and be able to maintain my weight if I become housebound and forced to lead a sedentary lifestyle.

The important thing for me is to keep making progress while still finding room for a few of the foods that I enjoy.

Good luck, take your time and be kind to yourself.

It’s not about losing the 20 pounds as much as it is making a lifetime change in the way that you eat.
That's funny: Winter Eating Season! LOL. It's like that for me, too, and many.

My weight is perfect at 145lbs for my height 5' 7". I have a slight fat roll around my waist. I once called them love handles, but now I call them manhandles. My husband still loves me and I never had a fat roll back when he manhandled me frequently, so I now call the roll my manhandles. My problem isn't displayed by scales or rulers, but MRI's that are ugly as sin. My fitness is great if all problems are considered.

I'd be happy with 190. I was 202 this morning.

As for 168, I just liked that scene in on the Waterfront. I blew through 168 in the 9th grade and haven't been anywhere near that since.

I got down to 190 a couple of years ago which is the same weight that I was when I was 18. However the distribution had changed somewhat. :(

I guess I'm happy. My ideal weight at 5'8" was 165 lbs. when I was working. I work out more now, including the treadmill, but I'm now up to 175. Most of it seems to be in my midsection. I know my metabolism is slowing down and is now burning fewer calories because when I used to work out I was ravenous afterward. Now I'm not.

I wish I could still fit in my slim-cut shirts and suits but I've realized those days are gone so they've gone to Goodwill.
