Are You Satisfied With The Cable TV In Your Area.

I cut the cable years ago for basically two reasons. One, it was WAY too expensive; and two, there still isn't a whole lot worth watching on cable TV anyway. I can find something fit to watch far more easily and for a whole heck of a lot less money on Netflix, Acorn TV or Britbox -- less than $30 a month for all three together.

We don't have that luxury here. Most TV is either through an aerial or satellite dish. I find that there's enough rubbish on the free channels without paying for more.

It's ok, but I have to pay (rent) for a box for each TV set.
i used to be able to have every TV on cable, but now only two have the box.
Once in a great while the picture freezes, but not often.

No, I hate ATT but I do not know what to do about changing. I get too many channels I do not watch. Going to try and get a smaller package from them. I live in a condo and not everybody services this area. I don't care about HBO and others like it. I want to get the local channels and NatGeo, USA and a few like that. I need to change before July as they will bump you to the next bundle without notice on your anniversary date.

Cox cable here in Geezer Nation - cable and internet is about $170 per month (4 tvs) which seems high but service is good.

When Time Warner became Spectrum here in NYS,the bills got higher, the bad customer service got worse and as usual, aside from reality TV there's little to watch.
Bought a fire stick which I still need their internet for but 175.00 went down to 65.00 and the firestick provides plenty of entertainment.

Ditto on the Firestick...A neighbor checked on cable out here and was told that more people would need to move out here!!!NO THANKS!!

Bright House became Spectrum. The cost for our bundle is excessively high, my electric bill is cheaper and that includes heat and AC.

There are a few channels that have old shows and movies which we prefer to the current rubbish.

Old shows can be viewed oon Roku or Amazon FireStick for free!!

No cable cut the cord in Nov '16, Got Amazon Prime, Netflex & HULU. Enough time is wasted with those. Cost including ISP is $73.23 monthly. Down from $135 (both basic cable & ISP) before cutting cord in '16.

Before I cut my cable I had AT&T then it changed to Frontier. Both were terrible in light of the huge cost! Almost half was sports which doesn't interest me at all and way too many detective shows.

I ended up getting a Roku stick with some programs especially YouTube with I watch almost exclusively for their great documentary content. I just dropped Netflix, I don't watch it enough but kept Amazon Prime for movies.

I get cable free, it's an extra provided by my building. It's OK, but I mostly choose to watch the premium channels, which I do have to pay for (such as HBO), and I love some of the streaming channels (Netflix, Acorn, Amazon Prime). That doesn't leave too much time for watching anything else.

I have to have NFL ticket even though it costs way too much. It is my one vice. I had a neighbor sell her place because she hated the cable server and she could not mount a satellite because her unit was facing the wrong direction.

We have Comcast, it is expensive and the price keeps going up over the years. It goes out for short times now and then, but for the most part it's pretty reliable. Only cable company we ever used, okay rating, will stick with it for awhile.

We had cable when we lived in the city, then had to go to satellite TV when we moved to the country. That was OK, until a thunderstorm came through, at which point we would lose TV until the front passed. Then, about 18 months ago, our local electric Co-Op strung fiber optics throughout our area, and we signed up. 250 channel TV, unlimited phone, and 100MB Internet now costs us $130 a month...a savings of $40 over what we had been paying...and the service is crystal clear, and super fast....the best TV picture we've ever had.

Sunny, if you like Acorn, try Britbox. It is about the same price as Acorn, has similar but different stuff. I signed up for it about 2 months ago and really like it. I'm seriously considering getting rid of Netflix because there doesn't seem to be much on there I like anymore. Also when my son was in town a couple of weeks ago, he set up my Roku box so that I can also watch movies, documentaries, etc., from YouTube on my TV, and it's free.
