Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I watched Baby Reindeer. I think it is brutally honest in it's portrayal of issues which are not usually talked about and, because of that, some scenes are hard to watch and it will not be for everyone.

I'm really enjoying 'The Middle' on Prime Video. There's a lot of seasons. So far, unlike a lot of shows, I feel it's just gotten better instead of stale like many shows do. If a show starts to lose it's appeal I'll move on but I am a big fan so far.

'SUGAR"...Really good but I've only seen 2 episodes so far.
John Sugar is a good guy, a man of integrity...I like him.
Its on AppleTV+ but they have a free 7 day trial and another
cut in cost for just this series I think. Really like Colin Ferrell.

I've been thinking about watching this and your recommendation carries weight. 😀 I paid for the 1st month after my free trial because it looks like I'll be keeping Apple TV if only for a couple of months at a time.

@seadoug @Ruthanne I love I Love Lucy; that's always good for a laugh. My son and I were just talking about that show the other night. He said he wouldn't trust anyone who says thet don't like I Love Lucy. . 😆😂

Ruthanne My honorary son strongly recommended Breaking Bad, but I never did start watching It.

Watching Fear the Walking Dead. On AMC Plus Last summer I watched all 11 seasons of The Walking Dead Its good but I liked the original better I think
Also like crime shows on Discovery

Dexter came up in my feed last night and I remember when it was very popular, so I decided to give it a shot. I like Michael C. Hall and we use to watch him in Six Feet Under. Anyway, I watched the first couple episodes and even though it was somewhat "dark" and macabre, I thought it was OK. Not sure I'll continue with it though.

The first four seasons are very good if you like that type of show (I do). The episodes with John Lithgow playing a villain are very good. But I thought it started to tail off around season 5 and most who watched the show at the time felt the same way.

@dilettante I think it was you who I told I couldn't deal with Tubi because of all the ads. But they hooked me today! One of my news feeds had a trailer for Continental Split, a movie that will air on Tubi starting on June 29th. Since I am a disaster movie fan and the trailer looked real interesting, I decided to add Tubi to my Roku and tablet again. At first I thought I could watch right away until I noticed the date next ti the trailer after watching it again.

I actually found other things I'm interested in seeing. I was pleasantly surprised to find Almost Human and Believe, both of which I will watch again, in their Cancelled Too Soon section. I was hoping they had The Passage there too, but they don't. Tubi has lots of stuff! I decided I'll suck it up and just play games or do something else during the many ads. I noticed it said 1 - 3 ads for one show. That's better than the 5 I was subjected to last time I tried Tubi.

Moby Dick as a 2011 mini series is now available on Amazon Prime, and it’s a worthy adaptation of Melville’s classic American novel that I can recommend. The series has a good period flavor, recreating the era of whaling ships, and you can almost feel like you are on the Pequod with the obsessively mad Captain Ahab and cast of memorable characters. Moby Dick himself is an impressive marvel of CGI programming, a malevolent force of nature, and you see the great white whale swimming, stalking the doomed ship, and even gaze into his eye! Melville’s novel retains it’s power and allure in this adaptation…

I just finished watching "The English" on Amazon Prime.

It's very good. I highly recommend it.

I just signed up for the 30 day free trial of Prime. So I'm trying to binge watch all the good stuff because I'm not sure I'm going to continue with it once I have to pay.

Ad-supported streaming is a mixed bag. I've started to just mute my Roku TV during the ads and then go through (ditch) most of my phone alerts since most are either "repeats" or "don't cares."

Almost Human and Believe are favorites and I'm doing an AH re-watch currently.

I'm glad you found more variety by peeking in there again. What's nice is that if you decide you've "had enough" you don't even have to unsubscribe! ;)

Thank you...and yes not having to worry about unsubscribing is a perk, of sorts. Like you, another things I can do is "play" with my phone, literally. I can play Words With Friends or do my Cody Cross puzzles in between. I spoke too soon. Sometimes there are 5 or 6 ads.

I've noticed that the Roku channel doesn't show as many ads. OMG! I'm going to be overloaded with content!! I inadvertently found thee Jesse Stone movie I haven't seen on the Roku channel while just scrolling through looking for content. I have the 8 DVD set with the other films. Found some interesting content on that channel as well so looks like I'm going to have to deal with this ad stuff.

"Designated Survivor" started strong, but fairly early in Season 2 the tone turned preachy. I'm hanging in there but it sure is starting to get cringy with its political messaging.
I watched it, and liked it at first, but the "preachy" gets tiresome, even if I agree with the viewpoint
