We'll definitely check that one out!"Fool Me Once" by Harlan Coben hooked me in too. I was just watching to see what it was about. The next thing I know, I'm completely hooked until the end. Amazing story.
I've watched two episodes so far. The last scene in the first episode intrigued me enough to want to keep going. Didn't expect that twist ! Wanted to see what led up to that. There was another element in Ep2 that makes me want to see what happens next. I suspect that will be the case for each episode. So Paradise has officially been deemed "a keeper". According to Wikipedia, there are 8 episodes and the last will air on March 4th. Enjoy! I think I'm going to cheat and read the available synopses (not all are there). It won't stop me from watching though.I look forward to what you think as the series goes on![]()
It is very much like a "Lost" type show and I do think it moves quickly because there are only 8 episodes this season. I'm glad you like it.I've watched two episodes so far. It's funny you say that. Not in reference specifically to this series, but I oftentimes read the whole recap of a show in order to decide whether or not to watchit. The reason? There's so much Limburger out there that I try to avoid committing time to some of the shows/movies with lousy writing. It doesn't bother me to have an idea of what's going to happen. i started 12 movies last weekend on Netflix and ditched em all after 5 min. I can't find anything good to watch.
Yeah, we gave up Netflix awhile back, when we could no longer piggy-back on my brother-in-law's subscription. As you say, there's just not enough good stuff on there to warrant the cost. They really have gone downhill, while their prices keep going up. I'm signed up for tr cheap version with what they said would be just a "few" commercials. And those commercials keep getting more frequent and longer. They have a handful of really good ones to hook you in and then a whole boatload of crap that you have to wade through to find the good stuff.

I watched a bottle of that for a while and didn't get much out of it...Yesterday I binged watched Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix. Very depressing.
I watched the first ep, then kind of forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, I'll go back to it later this eve.Just finished the eight episode Clean Slate, on Prime. Sit com about a trans woman (Laverne Cox) returning home to Alabama to come out to her dad (George Wallace). Norman Lear had a hand in developing this series.
It's cute, I liked it.
I watched season 1 but stopped on season 2, didn't like it anymore. Maybe I'll try again; sometimes it's just a passing mood of mine.Yay! Season 3 of 'Dark Winds' starts March 9th. Zahn McClarnon is back as Joe Leaphorn!
Well, it's hard to put a finger on the plot. It's confusing, hard to follow, and I'm not sure we're supposed to. We don't even understand what the workers' jobs are. What are they all doing there? What does the company do?I'm watching the second season of Severance, on Apple--IDK why, since it's really creepy and I hardly understand what's going on.
I liked the story, liked McClarnon from back on 'Longmire', but Dark Winds is also in my part of the world in NM.I watched season 1 [of Dark Winds] but stopped on season 2, didn't like it anymore. Maybe I'll try again; sometimes it's just a passing mood of mine.
Thanks for your response, and the validation re the confusion, ie, it's not just ME.Well, it's hard to put a finger on the plot. It's confusing, hard to follow, and I'm not sure we're supposed to. But the phenomenal acting from Adam Scott, Turturro, Walken, Arquette and Britt Lower, along with the continual mysteriousness, really holds one's interest. The music is haunting, and the title sequences are fascinating.
5 eps to go in Season 2, so we'll see what shakes outta the tree. I'm sure there will be a 3rd season.
