I did watch the first episode last night. The comedy was good, and Leanne turns out to be quite the thespian, but the overused and phony laugh track was such a turn off, I doubt that I'll watch much more, if any.

It's funny that years back, many of the sitcoms were designed the same way with laugh tracks. But I've long since gotten used to not having them. "Leanne" series doesn't need a laugh track. It would be funnier without it.
 
Resident Alien is back on, in fact the series finale aired already. For some reason I thought it wasn't coming back on until this month. I have four more episodes to watch before getting to the finale. I just finished the season finale of Ghosts (U.S. version).

@Olivia I was a big Lost fan too. I haven't rewatched the series, however. A friend of mine was so into it that she rewatched it with her daughter. It's good that you are enjoying it the second time around.
 
Haven't watched Sherlock & Daughter for a while, had to catch up on my soaps. Don't care whether I go back to it or not. Started one episode of Ballard (Prime), not sure if I care to continue.

Most stuff has become crap to me. Looking for my attention to be grabbed.

I just started watching Resident Alien. It's kinda quirky, but I'm liking it so far. I didn't realize it had so many episodes...We'll see if I can hang in there.

It took a few episodes for me to get into the show but once it clicked, i was hooked. I enjoyed Alan Tudyk on the show Firefly and enjoy him even more on Resident Alien. If you watched and enjoyed Eureka then I think you will like Resident Alien. It has the same kind of "small town eclectic" vibe.
 
FYI , Roku is now offering a $2.99/month ad free subscription for the Roku Channel. It doesn't apply to the live channel but it will apply to most of the shows that are available to stream on the Roku Channel. I'm going to give it a try since there are a few things I stream on the Roku Channel. My guess is that this is some sort of introductory offer and the fee will increase in a few months if enough people subscribe.

Leanne has a stand up routine that had me laughing on Netflix Leanne "I'm Every Woman" she had me laughing pretty good during that

I found out a few years ago that I like quirky comedies when I watched No Tomorrow, which only had one season. I had gotten away from comedies for awhile. It starred Joshua Sasse, the main reason I started watching because he looked so adorable in the promos. Since then other quirky comedies I've watched are People of Earth (reporter seeks out alien abductees) and currently, Wolf Like Me (single father falls in love with a werewolf), also on Peacock. I watch the latter whenever I get around to it.
 
I found a series on Max. I thought I would just peek at it and give up as I usually do, but half way through episode 1, it's a hoot. It's the Red Bull Soap Box race. It's not like your usual serious soap box racing, but over a down hill obstacle course. Not sure yet, but the winner is given points for fastest time, how well the car holds together and alternatively, how well it falls apart. And also for spectacular crashes. It's madcap mayhem, with absurd car designs, outrageous costumes for the dirvers, who are all given teeth guards at the start.

It's even accompanied by Dale Earnhardt Jr. who announces and gabs with his co Host, about tactics and strategy. I can recommend taking a look at this without any reservations.
 
Finished up the latest season of Reacher. I watch because I read the books. It really is overdone. You know there’ll be the standard, long fight scenes. Still, I’ll probably watch the next series.

Next on my list is Sneaky Pete. I enjoyed the original seasons and was sorry when it ended.

Ooh... I'll have to check it out. I always enjoyed King of the Hill. Our dark-haired son wore his hair long and straight while he was in HS. We called him John Redcorn - and he loved it!

Very much agree.... by the end, I could not wait for it to end!!!! My husband was still slightly engaged, so I played games on my phone while we watched it to it's conclusion - which wasn't bad, all things considered.
