Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I am currently watching The Beast in Me on Netflix. I am not finding it as enthralling as most of the critics have. My main problem is that after 4 episodes, I do not find any of the characters very likable. But I do like Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys so I will stick with it until the end.

I mentioned in an earlier post about being midway through the mini series Death By Lightning (Netflix) and I did finish it last week. I highly recommend that show. I know that many "historical" shows can be slow paced and a little pompous at times but this show is fast paced and not pompous at all. There are only 4 episodes so it is a quick watch.

Also @IrishEyes said on another thread: "Not a movie but a series on Paramount called The Beast In Me. It had me hooked, all kinds of twists and turns and very decent acting."

I watched the first 2 eps, and will watch more this evening. It's a well done production, with good photography, The music score is unusual, and really enhances the suspense. It's by the great Sean Callery (of the series "24" fame).

Matthew Rhys shows his range by playing an overbearing sociopath. I have to smile watching Claire Danes. Just about everything I've seen her in --starting with "Homeland"-- she plays pretty much the same character: a woman who is a semi-emotional wreck. You know she's going to have melt downs-- it's just a question of when. Her default expression is a wrinkled brow with eyes ready to tear up at any moment. But she's good...:) It's also nice to see the venerable Jonathan Banks (of "Breaking Bad" fame).

It's one of those shows where you're pretty sue where it's heading, but then the story line get more complexity.

I've watched a couple episodes of "Wire in the Blood" with Robson Green (early 2000's); although it's well acted and plotted, I doubt I'll watch anymore. Whew-weee, toooooo creepy!

I believe I posted about the show before, but I've gotten back into Elsbeth (CBS/Paramount+) and I'm enjoying it. She reminds me of a female Columbo. She's quirky, eccentric and it's fun to watch her process. Even her outfits are fun. I'm in the middle of S2.

We finished it. Hubs is very skeptical about everything and gets bored easily. Not so with this show. We were watching 2 episodes each night. Yes, Claire Danes' character is an emotional wreck, but I find so many leading characters are these days. I did find it funny at times that she acted more like a trained spy than an author, but then authors typically vet everything.

Matthew Rhys was above and beyond as a creepy sociopath. Brittany Snow as Rhys' wife is no slouch either.

Watch it until the end. I actually found it took a few episodes to take off, but the last few episodes and the twist at the end make it all worthwhile!

I keep seeing this advertised and want to see it. I last remember this actress from True Blood in a more serious role. I like her.

I started watching Malice on Prime. I've seen 4 episodes. It is pretty good but disturbing at times what this guy does. I couldn't sleep after watching it but not sure it was because of the episode. I'm going to keep watching it because it's pretty good. It's a thriller and holds my attention well.

I am watching "Person of Interest" on Prime. It's old but it's new to me. I find it intersting since it is kind of AI before AI.
Yeah it was an interesting and fresh concept. I think we watched all 5 seasons. I was surprised when I saw Michael Emerson (the billionaire) in something else playing a completely different type character. He's actually a great character actor. Caviezel was good too.

I just watched Riot Women - only half dozen episodes, enjoyed it very much. Judging by the ending a new series is planned. Looking forward to it very much.

Elsbeth is a spin-off from The Good Wife and The Good Fight. I like the character so much that I tried watching The Good Wife, but couldn't get into it. Years ago, I watched (not even a full episode of) True Blood and found some of the scenes off putting.

I've been meaning to watch POI for years but as my Watchlists got longer and longer, it got pushed aside. Since its on Prime and some of my favorite shows are on hiatus, I'll make an effort to get to it. Thank you for the reminder. :)

I just found out something surprising! This reply is about Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) and Person of Interest (starring Michael Emerson). Michael played her nemesis in S2 of Elsbeth. Lo and behold, they are married in real life! They have worked on several projects together, including Person of Interest and Lost.

Ms. Preston also appeared in at least one episode of POI; IIRC, it's a memory that Finch (Emerson) is having about his lost love.

I finished watching Malice. I thought it was a good show. It ended rather strangely like many shows do. I don't know if they will have more seasons.

I never thought too much about Emerson's heft as an actor while watching "Person of Interest", bit later I saw him in several different dramas, including the "Evil" series, which impressed me about his range as an actor.

Has anyone watched Absentia on Netflix? It had 3 seasons, from 2017-2020, but seems to have just dropped on Netflix. It has a decent rating on IMBD but a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The first episode was captivating, but I don't won't to go down a rabbit hole that may take me into multiple seasons.

Stranger Things is back for the final season after 3 years of hiatus. We've already watched the first 4 episodes. 4 more will drop on Christmas, then one final one at the end of the year. It's funny to see how much the kids have grown up after 10 years!

3 year hiatus..WOW. Did you pick it right up...I imagine they gave you a quick review of where they left off?
