Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I've started watching Agatha Christie's Seven Dials. My sister said there's lots of twists and turns, so I'm going to start the first episode over and watch it again. I'm only on the first episode anyway, so no biggie.

Steal (2026)

It's a suspenseful and well plotted financial crime series of 6 episodes.

The story grabs you right away, and, despite a few plot holes in it's telling, it keeps one's interest throughout. Amazon saved some money using unfamiliar actors, but everyone does a competent job. The cinematography is worth the price of admission.

The picture starts off with a major armed heist of $4billion from a large pension fund management corporation in London by forcing various employees and officers to transfer the money to the robber's account. But it turns out that more people are involved than meet the eye. There are plenty of twists, and even an unlikely romance, all building to a satisfying ending.

Doc's rating: 7/10
Amazon Prime, etc.

11/22/63 is a novel by Stephen King about a time traveler who attempts to prevent the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy, and how time resisted his efforts. The assassination occurred on November 22, 1963. The film adaptation is on Netflix as a limited series. The book was great, very descriptive of life in the 60s. I have only watched 1 episode so far and it looks OK. I think the book was better.

I watched the end of Culinary Class Wars. Loved it! It's been so much fun.

My wife and I just found this show and we are loving it! We're just through episode 9 of the first season and will be watching the last three episodes soon. We usually only watch cooking shows while we eat but this one has been so engaging we're watching one episode while we're eating and watch the one after as well.

It's one of my new favorite cooking shows. I can't believe how over the top it is in terms of scale sets and talents. I really only had heard of one of the chefs on the show because he was on Top Chef in the US but even without knowing the chefs it's been very exciting.

It's a Korean show but they have really great English overdubs. I love that the show seems to be a surprise both to the chefs on the show as well as the contestants and the members of the public who were able to take part in various tastings.

I love the two main judges who seem very well matched for the show. We're looking forward to seeing how the show progresses to the end.

Thank goodness there's already a season 2. We'll be watching it as well.

I just finished season 4 of 'Lincoln Lawyer', 10 eps on Netflix. It was perfect! All 10 eps dropped on Feb 5th. I like to spread these things out, like 1 ep a day. Not with this series, just finished the last 3 eps 5 minutes ago! Here is the 2 minute trailer...
Glad to get the heads-up. Will look forward to The Law of Innocence Lincoln Lawyer production. Evidently it's based upon the 6th novel in the book series.

I've enjoyed the first 3 seasons, although if you've read the books, they cut & paste several story lines together. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller is not the mental picture I got from reading the novels, but he does a good job with the character. Perhaps a little too PC, but the entire Michael Connelly TV treatments have that patina.

I rarely watch TV except for a couple of pro sports. But I will binge just a few series I either liked before, or was recommended by my spouse (who knows what I like after 50 yrs together, LOL):

- Lucifer. I watched the first couple of seasons when it first came out and liked it, but life got busy and I stopped watching it. Now it's available on streaming, so easier to watch. Although I don't get much done when it's on!

- High Potential. A new series and we both like it a lot. I wait until a full half-season is complete, then binge. These days long gaps between completing a bloc of episodes, sigh.

I've read the books too. Found out that though Bosch helps him in the books, Prime Video owns Bosch TV and Netflix owns Lincoln Lawyer TV, so they can't stick to the books.

Question for you netflixers....do they bring in new stuff regularly or do you hafta wait for months on end to watch something new?
I'm not a die hard Netflix person...so, I think they release a few NEW movies at the beginning of each month. Then, periodically thru-out the month they'll drop a few more. A lot of the new seasons, you'll wait months for those to show up.

I'm currently waiting for Virgin River's new season, and I can't even remember the last time I watched it...at least a year.

Eagerly waiting for Landman to come back again.
Heh, heh. Well it likely won't be ready until next Fall or early Winter.
I was buoyed however by the last episode of season 2. The season had started to go downhill with all the silly relationship stuff, and the over-the-top ex-wife, but the easing off of those two aspects, plus the better writing, allowed the season to end on an upswing.

Wife and I stream mostly from PBS. We prefer foreign series and films, and PBS has "Walter Presents".
Walter Presents is a curated collection of award-winning international drama, hand-picked by Walter Iuzzolino, a TV connoisseur who has scoured the globe for compelling hits. Presented in their original languages with English subtitles. This collection is available to stream with PBS Passport.

His wife makes me crazy. I can't stand her. Or the daughter.

I agree with your diagnosis of the last season completely. DH and I both mentioned it. All I could think to say was;
It has to be leading up to something, setting the stage so to speak. But like you, I was getting tired of the antics of the ex.

As someone else said they bring in different movies monthly. They also add new seasons of shows and sometimes new shows as well over time. For example if you like Love is Blind there is a new season coming up or already there.

I have said before that I do not pay for any streaming service. I pay enough for Dish as it is. They have plenty of channels, most of which I don’t care to watch, lol lol

ATM I am watching Ancient Aliens. Tomorrow it will be something different.

I started watching Wonder Man, which is being touted by Disney-Hulu as the best Marvel series. I wasn't going to watch but saw,
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the lead actor (previously unknown to me), who plays Simon, being interviewed by Michael Strahan which stirred a little interest, so I decided to check it out. It's about an actor who's a PITA because he always wants to alter the script. His dream is to play Wonder Man. He meets Trevor (Ben Kingsley) who turns him on to the Wonder Man casting and ostensibly wants to help him but there's something else going on.

IMO they are spending too much time on Simon trying to get work as an actor in a town that will not hire super powered actors due to a very bizarre incident with a blow-out star who used his superpowers freely and publicly. Not enough time is spent showing Simon's powers. The script is getting redundant. I also think they should have shown certain scenes at least one episode earlier, cut out the redundancy and perhaps whittled it down to 6 episodes instead of 8. I'm half way though next to last episode and am getting bored. Just read the Wiki synopsis, so I'll keep watching (maybe FF through it) to see how it plays out. If there's a S2, I don't know if I will watch it.
