Has it been ages since you changed your hairstyle, or mode of dress?

Can you remember the last time you had a whole new look...or are you still looking pretty much as you did 20 years ago..

Have a look at this Video...a married couple are given a whole new make-over after being stuck in a style time warp for years , and it's changed them almost out of all recognition...amazing!!

I dress as I see appropriate for a woman my age.. choosing classic styles that don't change much over the years. I also choose to wear my hair short.. so the style isn't much different now. I would feel silly trying to dress like a teenager.. I feel sorry for women who are so delusional as to think they are fooling anyone about their age.. or "Hipness".

Except for a moustache I've always been clean shaven and kept my hair short and will probably stay that way.......I tried growing a beard once and it came in in patches, kinda made me look like I had a bad case of the mange.

I think I probably dress more to my liking now than when I was younger. Especially in my 30's and 40's I dressed very plain.

I too like simple classic styles. I love to wear my jewelry also.

Something horrifying to me is women maybe 70 plus who just can't face reality. The bleach blonde mullet, leather jacket and sprayed on jeans...yes in 1972 you were way hot. But you have leather skin now and wrinkles down your cleavage. Cease and desist you are scaring small children. Oh and her husband has a ponytail with a bald spot, and the tattoo's are kind of blurred together. You don't have to embrace geezer but accept aging gracefully.

Known as a "skullet"......

Responding to garb, whether intended to impress, keep warm, meet social criteria, or any other issue driven by vanity,

I find it most rewarding to wear as little as necessary........imp

EDIT: Ah, boy,.....now I may no longer be considered "lovable"......that's what honesty gets ya!

Me, too.

There is a woman at my church who is in her late 70s -- she keeps her hair dyed black, black, black, wears enough makeup for a Hollywood starlet (including bright red lipstick which she extends over her lipline). She dresses in super trendy almost teeny bopper clothes. She looks absolutely ridiculous.

There is a lady in my town that must be about 74 now, she still wears stilletto high heels, a straight skirt just resting on her knees and subtle makeup, she still has the figure she had as a twenty year old, time and age has been kind to her, I actually admire her and just wish I could still dress the same, if I still had the same figure as I had at twenty, I would dress like that and to hell with what other people think.

I like looking young as I can, but try to be tasteful. In my heart my personal style would be boho which works at any age. I also like Preppy classic clothes which are always in style. Sometimes I mix boho and hippy. I love experimenting with cosmetics, serums, creams and things to keep me as young and healthy as I can be.
I love jewelry, especially long earrings and cuff bracelets. I no longer wear shoulder duster earrings because I'm afraid they'd drag my face down too much. That's my one concession to age.
I've never had a head to toe makeover but I have been madeup by professional makeup artists for work. But on my own, I just make up myself. I don't think women have to surrender fashion and prettiness just because they reach a certain age.
When I was a college student I had a neighbor in her 70's who still worked. We used to run into each other frequently when going about our days and I always admired how stylish and dignified she looked despite her age. In a way she's been my inspiration.

I am very fond of boho hippie myself. Also love the beautiful two piece Sikh suits, so elegant and feminine, yet practical. For business purposes, I wear less ethnic, more mainstream outfits, soft makeup. I have always been flamboyant, loved bright

Colours, silks, velvets, brocades, Chinese quilted jackets. Silver bracelets are a must. Even in a business suit, I add a whimsical accessory. Others compliment me on my style, which I appreciate, but in the end, I dress for me.

but in the end, I dress for me.

.............and that is the crux of the matter Shalimar, dress for yourself in whatever you feel most comfortable with.

I guess what depresses me is how invisible we can feel in some situations. Like when school lets out around here. The middle school and high school are right next to the main street. For an hour afterwards you're surrounded by flocks of brightly colored young people. We older folks tend to shrink into the background...well I guess it's their time ya know?

Two accessories I wear that get compliments even from the teens. I have a vast collection of thin beaded bracelets that I layer in different colors daily. Kind of my signature plus perfume. Oh and a Villa Lobos hoodie. It has a serious looking dog profile on the back but edgy attractive, great conversation starter for finding other bully lovers.

Hmm. Something recently occurred which both surprised and touched me deeply. Two shiny young things showed up at the sociology class I was teaching--wearing beautifully embroidered Sikh outfits and silver bracelets. After class, one of them said that they hoped they would be "sick" like me when they were old. Lolol.

I don't care too much for cloths and jewelry. I do wear earrings and make up if I leave the house, which is about 3 or 4 times a week. I try to keep my hair with a good cut because all I do to it (besides dying it) is brush it a minute or two before I leave the house. My daughter tries to keep me inline with the cloths and takes me out shopping sometimes. I usually just wear jeans and a top of some sort. I just started wearing shoes again after several months of sandals. When it's real hot I can't wear shoes and socks. My daughter gives me a lot of cloths so I think I own some fashionable things but I usually look like a slob in them. I dressed nice when I worked or went to church but I didn't enjoy it like a lot of ladies do. I'm glad those days are over.

I was always into being comfortable and simple, never a clothes horse here at all, and hate to wear jewelry. Even my engagement ring is in the safe most of the time, only wear my wedding band. Once in a blue moon when we go out somewhere, I'll put on a simple necklace, earrings and my engagement ring. Everything gets stripped off as soon as I get home.

As a teen and up till today, my clothing of choice for every day is basic Levi jeans (or cargo pants), and a tee shirt. Sneakers or hiking boots on my feet, even in summer I rarely get out my sandals. Hair pretty much the same too, except for some highlights and colorings over the years. Medium to long length, side or middle part, bangs or no bangs. Like Linda I get maintenance hair cuts when needed, and do my coloring/root touch ups usually at home.

I liked the video, they both looked better, I didn't care for the gal's dress, but her hair looked very nice.

I repeat something one of my girls once said. If you have anything resembling a cute butt at all, always look in the dressing room mirror from the back. Those pants that eliminate even a hint of backside mean you've given up;)

I'm happy with what I have and don't need to measure up or seek attention in my clothing choices or hair style. I feel comfortable with my minimalist look, not a flashback or mind warp by any stretch -- might be the influence of living in this cosmopolitan city where good taste reigns supreme.
