Art, anything goes...

Yes, Blake.👍 🤔😮☺️

I got an email through my horticultural society telling me this garden which I think of as a work of art is looking for organizations to maintain it as a public space. What amazes me is has gates on four sides that are always open to the public and has for many years.

It was built by a guy who started a meat processing business and so was able to buy and develope this large lot behind his own house. When his son was hit by a car he hired a concrete artist, a blacksmith artist for the railing, a garden designer to choose the plants and purchased several sculptures placed around the garden. The artists were set free to make a garden accessible to his disabled son and this is what they made. Shows what can happen when you enable the creatives to create.

So beautiful. Even the stairs and railings are pretty. Thanks @MarkD 🌹

@MarkD , this is what I woke up to this beautiful Easter morning. Easter is about New Life for all and the magnificent garden you posted is full of beautiful new life. Perfect. I spent time looking at every little detail and clicking on the few videos there as well. One had a loud squawking parrot that got the attention of my 2 dogs flanking either side of me on the couch. Thank you for this blessing. And you are the keeper of this beautiful space? Impressive.

I didn’t realize I’d included videos but there were some in the email I got:

Dear Friends:

Many of us have visited the Wave garden in Pt. Richmond with the beautiful views, plantings and ironwork, the owners would like to donate it to a non-profit to preserve the garden. If any of you have connections for a group to take this on, please reach out to ..

Please feel free to distribute this information on to anyone or any group you think might be interested.
