Art, anything goes...

Over time, I learned there was a lot of children's-book illustration in the Victoriann era and early 20th century that was interesting or just fun. Wain's later work was "out there", as the expression goes. These examples look like the art of a peyotilist, though in his lifetime he was often deemed to have just plain genuine mental issues.

This is a drawing I did 30 years ago. The medium is conte crayon.

It's the album cover from Stevie Ray Vaughan's 'In Step' album.
