No cicadas here...yet...but the lightning bugs(fireflies) have been quite prolific in recent days. It's kind of neat to step outdoors after dark, and watch hundreds of them "flashing" all over the yard. Insofar as I know, they are harmless.

We don't have cicadas in Sweden but we do get swarms of ladybirds every year. I am guessing that they also pee.

I say they record the mating call of the Cicadas and play it on a series of cars leading towards the sea and eventually play it from loudspeakers on a boat so that the pesky insects follow the sound to their death by drowning. It'll be 'the beginning of the end' for those pests!
