Thank the Lord for cartoonists. "First Dog on the Moon" is taking the Australian government and it's people to task over our treatment of asylum seekers. Every frame is based on some reality.

It does seem to be very harsh treatment for them, I'm glad we're being more understanding with our illegal immigrants. Preferably they'll just become legal citizens some day, in a perfect world anyway. I knew many who came over from Mexico, and became legal American citizens.
 
I'm arthritic these days. My last participation in a public rally was over the situation in East Timor before the independence vote.
These days I just write letters to pollies but they don't listen to me. :cry:
 
Well, letters are so passé, you must email them threatening messages to get their attention...
