Australia - some facts illustrated using maps

We had a magic evening on the beach on Phillip Island many years ago.

We were facing south with the Southern Cross clearly visible in the night sky. Mutton birds were wheeling overhead before returning to their burrows and then the fairy penguins began to come ashore. We stayed and watched them for several hours because we couldn't tear ourselves away. Absolutely magic!
 

My youngest daughter's Birthday wish was to walk with the platypus's, and so she did last
Saturday, even had photos taken. (Wish I knew how to transfer photos-learning curve too steep for me).
