One of the barriers to women participating in national affairs has now been swept away.
Younger women of child bearing age can now breast feed in their seat and no longer have to put a feeding baby down while they answer a call to a division for a vote.

This is Senator Larissa Waters, Greens, and her new baby Alia, the first baby to be breast fed in the Australian parliament.
