Be aware this makes extremely grim reading.

Former BBC zoologist Adam Britton jailed for ten years for raping dogs

This man sexually abused, tortured and killed animals for his own pleasure...

he lied to people told them he'd lost his beloved family dog to cancer , so they would feel sorry for him and give him their animals.. thinking they would be safe. Instead he used them as Sexual objects in a special place he constructed just for that purpose.

This man has been imprisoned today for 10 years.. ..do you think that's enough ?... I certainly don't... and I think a petition should be raised to have his sentence increased

I can't read this. Sick F**k
In all great seriousness.. It's absolutely disgusting, and skin crawling. Something once read never to be forgotten.

I wish I hadn't read it... and the Animal Charities in Australia are calling for his sentence to be increased, because this man is an absolute monster...

It was not good to read. It brought out the worst in me as I contemplated the sentence he should have received.

I have calmed down now and I agree with Emma Hurst from the Animal justice party with one modification

Emma Hurst, who is an MP for the Animal Justice Party in New South Wales, slammed the sentence as 'pathetically weak'.

'These were horrific acts of animal cruelty,' Ms Hurst said. 'There is a well-researched link between violence towards animals and violence towards people.

'This man is a danger to other animals and the community. I am relieved to hear his sentence includes time behind bars - that's where a man like this belongs – but it is not long enough.'

He is clearly a danger to society, not just to animals. He has used the dark web to share his cruelty with others and had child sex material on his laptop. He is irredeemable.

There used to be a sentence that was open ended. The words used were "detained at his Majesty's pleasure" . This is sometimes used where there is a great risk of re-offending. This is certainly a case for an indefinite sentence if ever there was one.

I absolutely agree.... I don't know if that sentence is still available to the courts these days.. but I knew someone who was actually given that as a sentence way back in the 1940's... and when the King died in 1952.. all the prisoners serving that sentence ( so I was told ) were released... and this man I knew had been released after serving about 6 years of his sentence

People, like Adam Britton, tend to escalate their behaviors. They progressively get worse. I think, if left alone, he would soon have added unwilling humans to his deviousness.
No doubt about that! Most serial killers have a history of animal cruelty before they graduate to torturing and killing their fellow humans. Adam Britton will need to be closely monitored for the rest of his life.

Capital punishment was required under the Mosaic Law for that kind of behavior.

Exodus 22:19
“Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.

I think that refers to a spiritual afterlife death, not earthly punishment.

Not reading this. I don't want it in my head!
you're wise not to....

I'm sorry that I read it.. but of course everyone needs to know that there's this type of evil walking amongst us.. and in full sight given that he was employed as a Zoologist by the BBC at one point.. and worked with David Attenborough.. absolutely no shame at all... disgusting.. he should never be released.. because there's going to be no animal safe from him...

Torturing animals often begins at a young age. My wife and me noticed a boy of approx. 6 years trying to kick our cat Lilou and the neighbor's cat Luna (the boy visited with his father this neighbor's house and wanted to harm even their cat!). Fortunately my wife noticed this in time and yelled at the child before he could do it.
In Germany a pet zoo had to be closed, because many children tortured the animals.
This is an insane society!

Why do people feel the need to share this ****!
Sharing this news can raise awareness about potential threats and encourage vigilance within communities. It helps people stay informed about issues that might affect their safety or well-being. Also, sharing news about crimes or terrible people serves as a critique of societal problems. It can highlight systemic issues and prompt discussions about needed changes or reforms.

Theologians understand it as a literal execution of the person who sinned in those ways. That's because books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy specifically instructed the nation of Israel how certain behaviors considered sinful were to be punished. Not all were deemed worthy of capital; punishment of course. However, some, such as murder, a son or daughter striking a parent, blasphemy, and bestiality very clearly were as the scriptures below demonstrate.

Exodus 22:19
“Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.

Leviticus 20:15, 16
15 “‘If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he is to be put to death, and you must kill the animal.
16. If there is a woman who approaches any animal to mate with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them.

While it's true that the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy outline capital punishments for certain behaviors in ancient Israel, it's important to note that these laws were specific to that historical and religious context. Modern legal systems, including Australia's, are based on secular principles and democratic values, rather than religious doctrine. Australia is a democratic nation with laws and governance based on secular principles, meaning that religion does not dictate legal practices or punishments. Their legal system is designed to reflect contemporary values and human rights standards, which emphasize fairness, justice, and the rule of law. That means Australia does not implement or enforce laws based on religious texts or doctrines. Instead, their laws are created through democratic processes and are meant to protect the rights and freedoms of all individuals in a pluralistic society.
