From our back garden, coastal Northern CA. These photos were taken in December; we don't get prolonged cold weather so this multi-color display was actually quite unusual. Some years all the leaves will just turn brown and fall off, LOL!

Wife saw this giant when she was out for a walk around the neighborhood this morning. Lots of bugling and cow elk running around - it's almost the end of the rut. (excuse the camera pls)
