have you ever had something in your home that you wasnt quite happy about even though it looked nice '
I was given a Cornish pixie about 15 years ago -it had a devil of a face it stood about a foot high ' I kept it in
the house but never liked it made me uneasy' was a gift from my youngest son,

so one day i put it on the patio outside ' but then bad luck started -and went from bad to worse' that was it i got rid
of it -and things started to improve -sounds like just coincident- but I found out they bring bad fortune to your home .
have you had a object you wasn't sure of .

My cousin has real human skulls on the bookshelf in his living room. That is something I don't think I'd want in my house. That was someone's head at one time. I wouldn't want my head on a shelf in the house of someone I didn't know. Have some consideration! I wouldn't even have my husband's ashes in my house. They stayed at the mortuary until we could bury them. Rest in Peace.

Well, after my mother passed away, I had one of her lamps on an end table in the living room. It was one of her favorites. Pretty soon it started flickering, off and on, every now and then. Dave replaced the innards. It still flickered. Hmmm... so when it did that, I'd say. "Mother! Cut it out!" Just joking, you understand. After a couple months, I gave it to charity. You know, just in case.... She can haunt someone else now. LOL!

I don't have any ornaments or statues but I had a couple of photos in frames that belonged to my mom.. The way the photos were taken made it seem that their eyes were following me around the room. What made it worse was that these relatives were long gone. I put them in the photo album so they can stare at the other people in there.

The only thing I can remember that gave me bad feelings was a gift my Dad's mother gave me at my wedding shower. She hated my mother and also couldn't stand me,my brother and sister. I was shocked when she came to my wedding shower. She gave me a cross that slid open and inside where things a Priest would bless you with after you died. Right after my shower my future husband was drafted during the Viet Nam war. We had to postpone the wedding for a few months and then I gave the cross to a neighbor where I lived because she loved it. Shortly after I gave it away my Dad's mom passed away. So she never was there to come to my wedding. This was many many years ago yet I still remember it like it was yesterday.

No statues or ornaments but many years ago, after using peacock feathers for a display at work, I took some home with me and put them in a vase, during the following months, my relationship broke up, I lost my home, my boss passed away so I lost my job, and one of my dear friends committed suicide, I would never have peacock feathers in my home again

Ivy is another thing I believe to be unlucky, and won’t have it in the house

When my late sister and her husband took a vacation to Hawaii, I told her to NOT bring back any lava, because it's supposed to be bad luck.

She did anyway. A couple of months later, her husband was diagnosed with cancer. She wrapped up the chunk of lava and mailed it back to the volcano visitor center. Her husband had a successful outcome.

A ranger at the visitor center told me that they get packages a few times a month with lava people are sending back.

I don’t like Tiki gods for the simple reason my ( then ) 14 year old brother was given one as a good luck charm as he boarded a train for Sydney ,he was murdered just months latter while still in Sydney .
Most of the family was only made aware he was murdered last year we was led to believe all these years ago he died of the effects of his epilepsy :cry: that was 1964

Several years ago my mother-in-law gave us a creepy SANTA CLAUS; one of those things you plug in and it moves. It was about 3' tall and had those eyes that would follow a person around the room. We had it for a couple of years but I never liked that thing. Finally after my husband forgot about it I drove it to Good Will and said Good Bye. I never considered it bad luck or anything, it was just creepy to look at.

Hahaha. 🤣😂

My parents used to have an orange plastic cat with black striped clock. The tail used to click back and forth with every second that went by and it’s eyes would go the opposite way. It was the ugliest noisiest thing and super creepy but I didn’t look at it as bad luck.

Years ago though I purchased a crystal stone. I’d read somewhere that they give off energy so thought I’d buy one and put it in my pocket as good luck. A few days passed and my husband one day told me with the most serious face that he wanted me to get rid of it. He said the energy spooked him so we buried it somewhere in the forest.

To this day, he refers it to the ‘bad luck’ crystal.

No experiences with objects, good or bad, but I've often heard they can be cursed from other environments and owners then passed on to the new owner, hmmm....maybe I watch too many sci-fi flicks

Following a trip to France, my mother came home with a statue of "the pensive gargoyle." It's of a winged, horned demonic-looking creature, his tongue somewhat protruding as he cradles his head between his hands and looks out at you. No one wanted the statue following my mother's demise...

My mother fears peacock ornaments which we used to have in our home. As a kid, I had a Tiki necklace which I wore all the time and a German cross. My favorite ring was an opal ring with rubies which I wore everyday in Jr High even though mom swore opals were bad luck. I never had a problem with those things.

But we received a framed print from an aunt's estate (she had recently died) which mom hung in our foyer and we had such appalling bad luck afterwards, I begged my family to get rid of it. Which eventually, they did.

For me it's books. There are hundreds of books in our home. Many have been read several times, others are reference books, and still others I look forward to reading for the very first time. However ... it seems on occasion there are one, or two, or three that somehow find their way onto the bookshelves for no other reason than to annoy me. Things I feel I should read but, in fact, have no real interest in.

Some good books are eventually given away, lost, or donated. But once they've revealed themselves those evil, books go straight into the trash. I see no point to inflicting my annoyances on others. ;)
