If you google Crayola original colors, or Crayola banned colors(!) the list of colors is fascinating. Besides the usual red, blue, green, etc., there are names that are deliciously poetic. Try googling Crayola original colors. It's fun.

About the crayon colors, I bet they had one called "flesh." And you can imagine which color flesh it was. That would absolutely be one of the banned ones.

But why did they ban burnt sienna? I have no idea what that means, but it was a lovely color.
