Time to start a new topic? This one is creeping along. It's hard to define a "banned" book, maybe for the following reason, which I found when I looked up a definition of banned books:

For the purposes of this article, we define “banned” as: A book that has been made unavailable in its entirety by someone — at least one school, library, bookstore, etc. — other than the author.

So that means if a book is not sold in one single bookstore because the owner finds it offensive, or not found in a particular school library because it offends the religion of that school, it is a "banned" book. Carrying this to its logical conclusion, this probably includes every book on earth.

(Sorry to be such a stickler. It sounds like an interesting topic to discuss, but kind of too inclusive for a list.)
