@rgp, I have PN in my feet as well, creeping up my legs to the knees. I'd be interested to know what treatment program you're involved with.
My MD did some labs, didn't find a smoking gun so my PN is considered to be "idiopathic", a fancy term for "we don't know".
Not putting you off, but likely better explained if you read one of the P/N treatment sites for yourself.
But , my program currently is ,Vibration, said to help the entire lower body ?
Followed by acupuncture, @ this time only the legs. Followed by [or in conjunction with the acupuncture] Laser [low level laser light] Followed by Red / IR , Followed by chiropractic adjustment/manipulation .
The whole thing takes about one hour [give or take].
It was EVERY DAY for two weeks ! I hated driving over there every day , but they don't do house calls <grin>
Now down to three days M/W/F for two more weeks , maybe three ?
Now the bad part, [so far] no help , and it is costly . Maybe it will change things in the final half of the treatment ??? I can only hope.
