Barbara bush dies

Former first lady, wife of George H.W. Bush and mother of George W. Bush, Barbara Bush passed away this morning at age 92. First reports say she refused hospitalization and preferred to end her final days at home. She was married for 73 years and was only the 2nd woman to be both a first lady AND mother of a U.S. President.
What a sweet lady. May she rest in peace.

The local news is showing a lot of Barbara stories this evening. I enjoyed hearing that she wore $39 shoes and fake pearls to her husband's inauguration. And she did it well.

Tomorrow is the funeral for Mrs. Bush. People are wearing pearls and/or blue to honor her. Hey, what the heck, will give me a chance to pull out the pearls I wore at my wedding. LOL. And we shared the favorite color of blue.
