Bath Powder

Last week I was in Job Lots and asked a clerk if they had bath powder. She stared at me a few seconds and asked if that was something you cleaned the bathtub with. I explained that it powder that you apply after toweling off after bathing. She just stared blankly at me. Don't these 20-somethings know what bath powder is?

You can get cornstarch powder now. There's even a "medicated" version.

p.s. I never heard the term "bath powder" either. When I read your thread title, I thought you were talking about Comet or Ajax.

We always referred to it as baby powder, body powder or talcum powder. Might be a regional thing.

Amazing, I had the same reaction way out here in the SW when I asked a clerk at WM where it was a few months ago. Blank expression. I explained and She finally located some but it didn’t look appealing. And they still have the tiny cans of J&J “baby” powder. My last box I had gotten on line from AZ and I guess that’s what I’ll do again. I really like to use it in the summer, and never did use it in the “area” that the law suit was about. On line it’s referred to as Dusting Powder.

Now dusting powder here would mean something to put on your rose bushes to prevent fungus.

You can't go wrong with Johnson's Cornstarch Powder. It's 100% cornstarch.

I get the medicated cornstarch in Dollar General. They have their own brand.

Gold Bond body powder with aloe and chamomile, for me.....smells luxurious...

Be careful though especially on tiled floors because talcum powder can cause tiles to become slippery

When did they stop selling in Australia??? My mother-in-law there sold was an Avon sales rep. for most of her life, and won many top sales awards.

@Pinky The lady I got my avon from has sold it for many years and relied on the income from sales to pay her private medical cover.

Me to .....the only thing I miss is cracked heel cream Avon was the best.

They sold everything under the sun. That's rather sad news. "Mum" is 100 yrs. old now, and stopped selling Avon some years ago, but was still selling in her 80's.

The cracked heel cream really did work, and Skin So Soft did repel the mozzies.
